The hotel is located above a bar that has live music. If you're looking to get a good nights sleep before 2am, I'd recommend staying somewhere else. Good walk to all location and clean/newer rooms.

Excellent location in heart of pub & touristy shopping district. Note that the hotel is located directly above popular pub M.Fitzgeralds - secure a room on the 4th floor unless you plan to stay out until 1am. The hotel has agreements with 2 car parks - definitely use Hynes which has much wider spots than Spanish Arch but a bit farther walking to hotel. Entrance to hotel is easily missed so watch carefully.

The location is ideal but not if u have lots of luggage (I.e traveling around Ireland and this being the last stop). The parking is off site and u have to carry luggage up the first flight of steps. U have to wheel luggage down a cobblestone street the lift it up a few steps into the smallest lobby I’ve ever seen. After staying at other locations in Ireland this was the least favorite for us. Definitely focused on city location and not amenities or service. I also left a few clothing items. When I realized it the next day I called and the staff said they’d mail them back to me. Yeah . . , that never happened. So the cost of the room was then doubled by losing $300USD in clothes. The room was hot in July and had no air. There was a fan. Windows had to be open and it sits on the busiest street in Galway. So that wasnt ideal. Noisy. Because it is in walking distance of some great attractions I gave it 2 stars. Otherwise I would have given It zero.

This hotel is in the middle of the city center and there is a lot going on. If you need complete silence, this is not the hotel for you. My room was on the first floor and I could hear music from the bar until quite late, but it wasn’t anything earplugs or headphones couldn’t mask. The room is small (like 2 people would have been too many kind of small) but the bed was very comfortable and they fit a lot of amenities into a small space (kettle, coffee maker, safe, tv, work space with solid WiFi connection, etc.) Every staff person I interacted with was amazing, and the pub attached is great.

Hotel is located on Quay Street which has a lot of shops and restaurants with live music. Our room was interesting as we had 3 people (my daughter, my husband, and myself). If you have 3 people your room has 3 twin beds. One for each person. The bathroom was nice. They provided 2 fans which was nice. The staff were nice. We did have an issue getting back into the hotel one night. We had dinner late and got back to the hotel around 11pm and the front door was locked. We rang the doorbell multiple times and knocked. Eventually a staff member opened the door and apologized for the delay.

The location is the best, right down in the historic quarter near Spanish Arch, where the buildings are hundreds of years old. You feel like you are walking the road of history. The staff was so friendly and helpful, so we stayed an extra day. The bed was the best we’ve had this trip, so we caught up on our sleep without taking extra time for it! I would definitely stay here again.

This property is in need of a complete overhaul. The carpets are very smelly, stained, and have not been cleaned or replaced in many years. It is not clearly marked and not easy to get to. We unloaded bags and had to navigate garage floors, then we were dropped in a cross with a few Alley ways. Not at all easy. The room had no Air Conditioning and the window opened a few inches for air. They had a fan that was loud and very old. This place was very inconvenient a huge disappointment. I will be pursuing a refund. Total sh*t show and should not be listed on Expedia!

The property is unique as it is right on the main street of the Latin Quarter. Restaurants and pubs are steps from the door. The hotel staff are amazing- kind and thoughtful, ready to help as needed 24/7. They treated our group as treasured family. We love this hotel.

I always write a fair review and had several conversations with the staff. The hotel was in an excellent place and the staff was nice. I have several complaints that were worth mentioning. My friends hotel had several problems with the toilet and the staff finally fixed it after almost the second day. Couldn't flush it. Then my room, after finally cleaning the fans vents they started working and my bed side had visible springs coming out of it. My Google reviews have pictures and videos of this because the staff said they checked when I was gone and didn't see anything and sadly if anyone checked it's very noticable. It was so uncomfortable and I'm not your usual Karen that complains but the bed after walking all day was bad enough I let them know the first day and could never help me. I get it though, you are sold out but not offering any compensation or even emailing me back to discuss was very disappointing. Sucks I even had to go this way but everyone should know.

Hotel was fine, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The noise was far worse than we could have imagined. We were kept up until 2 am when the music stopped. Discount on parking was not as described. We were charged full fee and when we asked the parking employee we were blown off that we had already paid so nothing they could do. Our bad for not doing more due diligence on the hotel. Great location if you aren’t concerned about sleeping.

ANYONE BOOKING THIS PROPERTY PLEASE READ: The hotel sits on top of a very popular pub that has live music going until 2-2:30am some nights. There is absolutely no sound-proofing (we were on the second floor) so if you are a light sleeper or are bothered by noise DO NOT book this hotel. It felt our room was in a club bathroom, and could hear the music, and lyrics clearly. If you're going to be out partying / drunk all night, this could be a good hotel for you. I think the hotel should have better warnings about the noise. They say it gets "lively" which is a gross understatement. Pricing the rooms that are on the first or second floors at a cheaper rate would be more fair- if it was explicitly stated that you'd be hearing music until 2am. I wish I read more reviews before booking this hotel. The photos on this Expedia listing are also misleading (the show a picture of a cathedral interior) which isn't a part of the property. The street view is also much different. Quay street is congested with foot traffic, buskers, and outdoor dining- which isn't a complaint. Quay street is where most of the action is in Galway and it's a super convenient location, just not worth the price for 2 nights of no sleep.

Avoid room 104 or 102.. it is directly of above bar where music is till 2:00am. When asked what time the music ended on Friday night we were told 11;00pm ish.. and didn’t we read the reviews we did but no one said music would be so loud and annoying.. While website said be for some noise it never said bar was right below us.. Staff very friendly and know they had no control.. they need to say where this hotel sits!! No one would rent here if they knew!!!

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. Parking is literally next door - great value given the location. Staff are super friendly. And they left a nice note and a box of chocolates when I asked for something special for my gf. Lovely touch and really appreciated. The room itself is lovely, new and clean.
