There was absolutely nothing good about this property. The street itself was completely run-down, with boarded-up and neglected houses, rubbish scattered along the road, and groups of men hanging around both outside the property and further down the street. This instantly felt unsafe and intimidating, especially as I was travelling with children. On top of that, there was a strong smell of drugs in the area, which made the whole environment nerve-racking and totally unsuitable for families. I booked three rooms, but one was cancelled by the host at the very last minute. Instead of the whole house as advertised, I was only given access to one street-facing room downstairs and one upstairs — and to make matters worse, the property turned out to be a shared house with other tenants, not a private rental. Inside, the first impression was dreadful: a strong smell of cannabis, broken facilities (the host even had to climb onto a set of drawers to attempt to fix a blind), and shouting and screaming from other tenants at their children. This was absolutely not what I paid for or expected. The person who handed me the keys was still inside the property when I left. I did not feel safe or comfortable telling him I didn’t want to stay there, which is why I took the keys and left without confrontation. I did not feel safe staying here at all and left immediately without spending the night. This left me driving around late in the evening, desperately trying to find somewhere else to stay. Thankfully, a hotel was able to take us in at short notice. I returned the keys the following morning and informed the host that we had not stayed. Since then, I have requested a refund through Booking.com and the host directly. The host has completely ignored my messages, and Booking.com have been utterly unhelpful despite multiple phone calls and emails. I am still waiting for my refund.

The kitchen was nice and clean, so was the shower, great location, clean common area

On first arrival i was brought to a room without a bathroom although I specifically booked one with a bathroom. The Lady then said the room with the bathroom was taken by someone this morning and I could go talk to them as if I al the one that messed up. When the man showed up he said he would give me a 5£ discount, not the point but it‘s all I could do since I‘d already booked it. Even though the overall score of the place said it would be clean my whole room smelled like damp and pee, the sheets being the worst. The toilet seat of the shared bathroom was fully coming off at some point. The free toiletries are toilet paper and hand soap and the flat screen TV advertised in the rooms is in the living room/common area. Upon arrival I mentioned to the host that I would have to catch a train at 10am the next morning and he assured me that someone would be around for the key handover and to give me my deposit and discount back but surprise surprise, noone was at the property and I had to call them telling them I‘m leaving the keys in the house.

We like everything about this guest house. Amazingly clean, very comfortable bed almost every thing is to the best standards. We are very happy. The manager Mr Gabriel is extremely helpful.

We prefer if there were chairs in the bedroom and mirrors in the bathroom. This is a suggestion.

The linen was stingy, and the toilet was not flushing well. The shower was faulty, and water could get so hot.

They then said they had another property and I walked 19 mins to this other property. It was an unmade room so I then waited in the hallway for about 20mins, then finally got into the room.

absolutely nothing. Total waste of money. The property i booked was not given to me. I was taken to a different room in a different location. The room looks so dirty, unkept with a very poor haphazard single bed/mattress with dirty beddings. No Radiator or room warmer. I was freezing in the room all through the night.

It was a good location for my needs.

It was not clean. The bin in my room was not emptied, which, fine. When I took off my socks to change clothes, my feet immediately had black hair on them (I am blonde). And most importantly on this point, the sheets definitely had not been changed from the last guest—the scent of humanity & again the black hairs! The room I booked was not available (but I could go to another location or take a room with a shared bathroom—I took the shared bathroom) and no refund was made. And most of all I felt deeply unsafe. The front door does not lock automatically. The rooms do not lock automatically, and there is no additional bolt —so if someone else has a key, which the manager did indicate had been a problem in the past, there is nothing keeping them out. Not out of the house and not out of the room. Finally, the screaming fight and what sounded like assault or at least unwanted “attention” from another guest’s room continued all night long, with short intervals of quiet. I slept in a sleep sack I had brought with me for other reasons, got up with the sun, and was out the door shortly after 6am. I trusted the manager when he indicated I would probably not even see the other guests, and he was right. I didn’t see them, but I certainly heard them, and, knowing there was no guarantee that I was the only person with a key to my door, I did not sleep more than 3 hours all night. Never again. Photos indicate the lack of any signage, the grey carpet with (admittedly difficult to see) black hairs from a previous guest, and the dirty sheets with a previous guest’s hair.

The landlord start cleaning the property around 5:30pm, we had to wait in the living room, after one hour we decided to cancel the reservation. Very unprofessional!!! Property was old, horrible location

Needed somewhere to put our heads down for the night, great price, nicely decorated and presented, and clean.

This property was not what was advertised I booked for 2 weeks and left after 2 days it was that bad

Area was dirty said there’s a view which was false all details of what would be in the room was false toilet seat was hanging off noisy with people and traffic I had to wash the dishes before I could cook!!!

The host was very welcoming and helpful. He even came to my car to help me with my luggage. I also appreciated the fact that there was a well equipped kitchen where I could prepare food and a comfortable lounge for the use of guests.The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

The blind was not thick enough to keep out the light from the street lamps.

Byliśmy w 4 osoby, a ręczniki tylko dwa. Słuchawka w prysznicu nie działała. Sprawa była tylko deszczownica . Brzydki zapach w pokoju, dywan nie odkurzony, ściany brudne. W kuchni w szafkach też brudno . Ogród w chwastach i takze byly jakies śmieci. Do tego kamery w gościnnym pokoju i na przedpokoju , jest to nie legalne, a mimo to były kamery. Niestety nie skorzystaliśmy z noclegu tu, bo zapach odrzucał. Nie polecam!

Leiligheten i seg selv var av grei størrelse. Sentralt i forhold til togstasjonen (vi reiste med tog).

Mye som var ødelagt, som burde vært fikset. Dosetet var løst, og noen av stolene holdt på å ramle sammen. Leiligheten var også generelt ganske fuktig, pga. tørking av sengetøy. Vi hadde problemer med å låse det ene rommet. Tungvindt innsjekking / utsjekking: Vi måtte vente på noen som kom med nøklene, og som vi kunne levere nøklene til da vi skulle reise. Merk at man også må ha 20 GBP (i cash) til depositum pr nøkkel ved ankomst.
