Room was a bit tired but clean and beds were comfortable.our room was at the top of the building so maybe that’s why it’s not as well furnished and decorated. It really does need improvement. The tea/coffee was sparse - only two teabags and one glass and small cups(no saucers) Food and service in bar was good - staff very pleasant and helpful.

Parking area was fine but the breakfast was let down

Clean room. The staff did their best with a tired building. The curtains were hanging off the rail.

Parking was very tight, definitely secure, register your number plate at reception desk, very easy.I didn't have breakfast as needed to leave early for Bath. We did have a 3 course meal the previous evening. * Must say the Chef is very good, Everything was home made, great presentation, taste, value for money, will definitely be returning in the future,as it's an ideal stop over for visiting my family in Wells.

The place was excellent. Staff were excellent food was excellent.

Clean and comfortable room. Easy parking with the car park permit, this is one of the reasons we use this pub to stay at.

Place was filthy , room was in terrible disrepair, no service in room for 3 days. Terrible. Wouldn’t stay again if you paid me. Even the beer was over £6 per pint.

Great welcoming service, good breakfast and nice large room. The best ‘family room’ I have ever stayed in. It was really spacious for a family of four, plenty of free floor space around all the beds. Will definitely stay again

Hotel in the centre of Andover. On site parking can be limited. Spacious room with good amenities. May be slightly dated and access was via narrow corridors up and down a selection of stairs so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues, but it is a character building.Comfy bed, great shower and really fast wifi. Great restaurant serving a good selection of meals. Breakfast was only served from 8am so after I had to leave each morning.

Feels like going in a dungeon. Excellent bed but everything else is ancient. Carpet is aged needs a fresh new one.

Stayed for work, drain in shower was blocked and just felt overall a bit dirty

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hottest weekend of the year to date, so rooms did not get cool and in the morning were much hotter than outside temp. Fans were provided, but little or no help. Hotel a bit shabby and showing its age throughout.

Always a good stay at the hart

The floor is not even and solid - it's slanted. The water pressure in the shower was so low there was barely any water coming out of the showerhead. Same goes for the toilet - the water pressure was so very low and takes forever to refill. The least one would expect in a hotel is - cleanliness, shower and toilet facilities in the room and it was a huge letdown for us. The bar toilet is very smelly Avoid this at all costs - I don't recommend this for families.

We used the hotel as a stopover for an onward trip. It was ok but small touches missing. No real advice given on the restaurant situation or what time breakfast was served so we ended up eating elsewhere. For the money paid we felt we would have been better off in a budget chain hotel.

Possibly the worst hotel room in a so called chain ever stayed in. Nothing pleasant about the place at all.

A all round disappointing stay, I was under the impression with it classing its self as a marston inn it would have the same standards as the other places iv stayed with in that franchise and was looking forward to my stay. This was not the case, the room was outdated and drab, with a strange drain like smell throughout, ripped chairs, curtains that didn’t meet in the middle. The bathroom was dark, maybe to hide the black mould on the tiles and stains everywhere.

I made a room request prior to arrival because of health conditions. This was not acted on or acknowledged. On arrival we received no details about our stay. We were told that the next day (Sunday) breakfast was 8 until 10, that was all. On arriving back at the hotel on Sunday evening, after a day out, our room had not been cleaned. We questioned this and were told that rooms are not cleaned every day, and if we wanted the room cleaned we should have left the notice on the door. We were not informed that this was the procedure on check in. We had paid for breakfast for both nights of our stay. We had breakfast on the Sunday at 8:30. We assumed that breakfast on Monday would be earlier than Sunday but would finish at the same time, that is 10 o'clock. This is standard for the hundreds of hotels we have stayed at. Normally st check in one is provided with details of meal times, check out, etc. Not at this place, and we presume any Marstons Inn. Anyway, we had paid £8.75 each for breakfast on Monday morning. We arrived for breakfast at 9:30 to be told that breakfast finished at 9:00 during weekdays. Had anybody told us? Was there are information in the room? Answer to both is NO. As the room was serviced, I had to go to a packed bar and ask for a toilet roll because nobody was available at reception. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in the UK, nevermind abroad, and never have I felt so let down. I will never stay in a Marstons hotel again and make sure everyone I know is awar

Liked the old world feel of the building. Staff was very friendly. Room was basic but clean and certainly suitable (slept well). I would return for a nice cost effective break. Thanks.

The staff were all great but the inside needs a bit of a revamp with some tired carpet (not in the room), net curtain fell down at my window, and carpet in the pub itself was well worn and I would pull it up and get the natural wood of this 16th century pub back out on show, but nice stay all the same and staff are all very welcoming and happy.

Staff very friendly. Breakfast excellent. Car parking can be difficult. Price very good value.

The squinty floors unique. It’s a 500 year old building Worth trying The cooked breakfast wasn’t for me but nothing wrong with it but I preferred the cold one
