    Lovely staff and a clean well presented room, situated in the centre of town good parking around the back. Would recommend this hotel.

    The location is great however the hotel was more like a 3 star than 4 star. Also entrance was via the parking that felt a bit intimidating when returned around 10pm.

    We arrived during one of the UKs hottest days following a long drive from Cornwall and straight away we felt very welcome by a lovely friendly lady in the reception area. She checked us in and informed us that breakfast was also available as there didn’t appear to include this option online when booking. She apologised there was no lift as we were on the top floor but on arrival to the room it felt calm, clean, cool and very welcoming. We were only staying for the one night due to attending a family funeral the following day. The bed was comfy and the bathroom clean and sufficient for our needs. Refreshments were available in the room, including welcome bottles of water and breakfast in the dining room was 10/10 with a buffet style self service - with an excellent choice of menu. Location was perfect for the town and local pub. We would happily stay at this hotel again and fully recommend it to family and friends needing an overnight stay in the area.
