This is our second time staying at Bombara. This time we took our kids 11/13. We only planned on staying 3 nights. But we loved it so much here. We added another 4 nights on! Bombara feels like our home away from home. And we are already planning on returning during the year! We started in 2 separate rooms (which we loved). The beds are beey comfy. And the pillows we amazing. Better than our own! We then moved to the residence. WOW. This was real treat! Own pool, living room deck that overlooked the surf break! All of the staff were genuine and so kind! I woke up very early one morning. And all the staff were outside on the beach cleaning and picking up rubbish. Super awesome to see everyone caring so much. The breakfasts were yummy! And the restaurant served delicious food!

The perfect place to stay and unwind!

This was our families second stay at Bombora. The location is perfect- right in front of the waves. Our room was great - the bed was very comfortable and always cleaned. The food was great - especially the breakfast. The best part was the staff - every single person on staff were friendly and genuinely cared about making our stay as great as it could be. We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Bombora and highly recommend it.

Excellently designed accommodation, perfect for a chill, no hassles stay, right in front of break.

The location is amazing and is worth the price alone. Staring at the waves wrapping into the bay, watching surfers from pro to beginners, was all the entertainment vyou need.

I would have liked the food to be more local. When I asked them to cook Tempeh Goreng (not on the menu), it was delicious. Nasi goreng needs work. And sambal is not tabasco :)

Was in rm 6. Felt like I was in a pen outside. Had no view of ocean. Maybe open up a view in corner of outer wall. Seating was terrible. Being short had trouble getting into chair. Some comfy seats would be better.

The place and service is good. Food is good too considering the area of Bali it is located in. I like their staff!

Poorly designed room such that exhaust fan is always sucking in humid air from the sea and also the air from the air con. The room is constantly humid and aircon could not dry the air due to the fan. The dehumidifier provided gets full in 4 hours and doesn't help in drying. Also the choice of air freshener used mixed with the surrounding air smell more like urinals than pleasant. I don't mean to be harsh but my stay was really unpleasant.

1. Amazing location right at the wave. Better impossible. 2. Friendly staff. 3. The included breakfast was pretty good.

1. Smelly mouldy room. We had to ask to get our room changed for another one. The second one was a bit better but not great. There wasn’t great air circulation in the rooms especially in the bathrooms. 2. There wasn’t a “chill out” designated place in the whole place…. Only at the pool area however if it was raining or u didn’t want to get your ass wet, u cannot really use it. Only option where u could see the waves and have a nice view was at the restaurant however not really comfy chair & you were “obligated” to consume something if u want to use the spot. Only other “chilling area” outside the room was at the entrance of the room however the view was to a fence 2 meters away. Horrible view especially if u are paying top money for a premium hotel. 3. The door design was open on the top, so if u were sleeping and your partner goes to the toilet in the middle of the night, the light of the bathroom was hitting directly at your face… 4. Better and way cheaper places for lunch & dinner in town instead of at the hotel. Check google maps reviews.

Great spot for surf lovers and relaxing...

What a great small accommodation. We came with our daughter and her partner. Purely for surfing. We had an ocean view room so I could sit up the top on the lounge and watch my daughter and husband surfing. Our room was very big. Big bathroom. Very impressed with having our own water filter in the room. The staff were just lovely. I really love coming down to the restaurant area and they use your name when they say hello. Then they tell me my daughter went out early for a surf. Just so so personal we just loved it. Everyone staying at the hotel are all there to surf so all chat and talk about their day and the waves they caught. Much more enjoyable than a big resort. The breakfast was big and very nice. Lovely coffee and pots of tea. The pool and restaurant looks directly at the surf break so you never miss a thing. Great massages up the beach which my husband and daughter said were great after multiple trips out to surf. Would highly recommend for surf families. No shopping or much else to look at but its honestly worth it. A few great restaurants up the street from Bombora.

Breakfast and all meals we had were excellent. The staff were fabulous. Nopi in particular was a gem. She warmly welcomed us and asked our names, she referred to us as Rhonda and Geof whenever she saw us.

We were a little disappointed with the size of our room, however it's what we chose so no problem. The bathroom, now and again, had a distinct odour, so we tended to have the fan going most of the time.

Could have been a great stay, if not for dirty sheets

Good location, great bed.

Our sheets had mold (ocean view room) and there was insect larva. And my husband got bed bugs bite. But the staff, especially the manager Indra was understanding and helped us change the room at night immediately. However we felt uncomfortable to continue our stay and left the next day after calling booking.com and explaining the above situation to refund us.

Staff were lovely - especially Nopi, her service was exceptional. Location was amazing - surf right out the front and pool had the perfect vantage point. Rooms were comfortable and food was great! We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back to stay again.
