The handling of my booking by both the property owner and Agoda was entirely unacceptable, resulting in financial loss and leaving me without accommodation for the night. ​Sequence of Events: ​Lack of Check-in Information: Upon receiving my booking confirmation, I was never provided with the entry code required to access the property. ​Unanswered Prior Communication: Ahead of my stay, I explicitly messaged the host to inform them that I would be arriving late due to travel from Belfast. This message was ignored. ​Denial of Access upon Arrival: I arrived precisely at the communicated time. Because I had no access code and the building was locked, I was stranded outside. ​Failed Support Escalation: I contacted Agoda and Expedia for assistance. Agents confirmed receipt of my prior arrival-time message and expressed surprise that an access code had not been issued. While agents attempted to call and email the owner, he refused to answer the phone. He did, however, respond to Agoda’s email stating he would "get back to them later"—yet he deliberately chose not to provide the access code that would have resolved the situation immediately. I was forced to secure alternative accommodation at my own expense. ​Host's Dismissive Conduct: When I finally reached the owner the following day, he dismissed my grievance by claiming check-in had closed. When I pointed out that I had pre-communicated my arrival time, he refused to acknowledge it. ​Conclusion: The timeline of events strongly indicates a coordinated effort by the owner to retain my payment without rendering services. By withholding the access code from the initial confirmation, ignoring my pre-arrival notifications, and selectively responding to corporate emails while ignoring urgent phone calls from both myself and customer support, the host demonstrated a complete lack of professional integrity. ​Furthermore, Agoda failed to provide any meaningful support or resolution during a time-sensitive emergency. ​Due to this severe breach of service and hostile customer communication, I cannot recommend this property or Agoda to any future travelers.

Lovely location and decor, spacious kitchen and dining areas, beautiful front facing lounge, bedroom cosy, shared bathroom with one other unoccupied room. Only negative was guests upstairs were very noisy from 2am until 5am. Disgusting. Because of no on site staff there was no way to tell them to shut up. I had no sleep.
