Hotel is well located and room was large and comfortable. The reason for the less than 5 rating is due to the spa not being included in the price, and this was not indicated on the website. Evidence was shown to the reception staff and the owner, and they were disappointingly very dismissive saying it was the fault of Hotels.com and not their problem. We paid a lot of money for the stay and hence it was certainly not value for money with the spa being excluded. It was an additional EUR70 for two people … for one hour.

This is a truly unique and stunningly converted mansion property in the outskirts of Como. Rooms and breakfast are of the highest quality and the staff and owner could not be more charming and considerate. Definitely a must-stay!

Phenomenal stay at Villa Liberty. Incredibly nice staff, great property, spacious room and the private spa experience was a great way to kick start our time in Como. Several bus lines are a 2-3 minute walk so convenient (and nice to be in a quieter area away from the center of town).

The area was tucked in a quiet part of Como Town, but was a relatively easy walk to the path by the Lake. The rooms were nice and clean and the breakfast was fantastic. I am gluten sensitive and they offered me gluten free bread and cookies which were tasty. We would stay here again.

Stayed here 6 days during a work-vacation combo. The villa was lovely and our suite spacious and clean (except for the dead bugs behind the tv that eluded daily cleaning). The bed was not terribly comfortable with only one pillow each. Expectations got managed early on when we tried to shift our trip forward one day (same stay duration, just a day later) and add a day. Even though hotels.com made the change, the villa let us know they‘d charge us for the first, unused night anyway. They also let us know after booking the non-refundable trip that their reception/check-in was only until 6 pm. We had planned for a scenic train ride from Zurich but due to train strikes couldn’t tell the hotel an exact arrival time, which they demanded. So we rented a car for an extra 2,000 Euro. The room had relatively little appointments. Bundled with a limited hour reception that was always closed by the time we got in from our conference, the whole trip felt scheduled around their staff, which wasn’t relaxing. For example, we didn’t get wine glasses and corkscrew until we finally could sync up with the hotel staff on the last afternoon. The spa was nice, but cost extra and we were mostly worried about being on time for our designated one hour slot. The camera in the spa and 5-page waiver and rules was also a bit much. Lastly, they take breakfast end time seriously, even if you just want a cappuccino to go, as all amenities end like clockwork unless pre-scheduled. Front desk staff was pleasant.

The property itself was very nice. The rooms comfortable, the amenities great. The staff were very accommodating and friendly remembering us after the first day. I have nothing but praise for the staff. The property was not in the most convenient location. Without a car there were not a lot of restaurants or activities nearby. The property is not car friendly providing enough parking for their guests - on property parking is a premium and at a premium expense.

Property and staff were amazing. It was both my girlfriend and my birthday's during our stay, we did not tell them but the staff noticed on our passports and gave us a free bottle of proseco to celebrate

Pictures online don’t do it justice! It’s beyond beautiful the owner is amazingly sweet always present to help with anything. Loved staying there! The beds, linens, pillows were very high quality. The grounds are like a fairy tale ❤️ Don’t hesitate and book!

Lovely boutique hotel off the beaten path. The only problem we had was getting taxis. This seems to be a problem all around Lake Como. We waited almost an hour to get a taxi for dinner and had to end up walking back over a mile in the rain to the hotel afterwards because we could not get a taxi to return to the hotel. Something to think about if not staying in center city.

Stayed at the Apartment, which is separate building from the main building. We were welcomed very warmly and everything in the Hotel was spot on. Enjoyed Prosecco and snacs on the rooftop "solarium" which provided also view to the Lake Como. Wonderful place and superb service! Will come again.
