Check-in online and everything online. The problem is that you don't get a confirmation about what you have booked. I booked early access towel... And got no information about it. When I asked got an AI answer to pay extra...so I paid for a towel twice but only got one

You cannot call this a hotel - it's a hostel! It's the worse place I've ever stayed in! Check in was a nightmare, so many questions to answer and then had to pay £22 to store my luggage! and £3.80 in city tax. None of this was mentioned when I booked! Staff were rude and very unhelpful.

It wasnt the best. We struggled to check in. Eventually the man decided to help. The room was ok, all though a little cramped. Bed was comfy Breakfast was rubbish and we had to pay extra. The trays were empty or low of food. Tea/coffee area was unclean, loads if spillage. We wont stay here again. The spot was ideal for the nightlife.

A few days before we checked in, they sent an email for check in that included an additional fee that wasn’t included in the booking. It was less than five pounds but we don’t travel with any bank cards and only had cash. They don’t take cash so I had to borrow someone’s card to check in. Every other hotel charges these fees at the time of booking and not at check in. The place itself is fine. It’s located in a great spot. The room was dirty though. The water in the shower would go from normal to lobster water hot to polar bear water cold in a span of ten seconds. They watched my luggage for free on the backend which is the only reason they get two stars.

As soon as I entered the room, it was immediately clear that it was not what I had booked. I had reserved a double room, but the one I was given did not resemble the pictures advertised online. The room had a wooden floor instead of carpet, and it was noticeably dirty—the floor was sticky, and when I turned on the lights, I could see dust covering the walls. Overall, the room was not clean or well-maintained. I went to the front desk to request a room change, as this was not what I expected. However, there was no staff member present, and I had to wait approximately 20 minutes before someone arrived. When I explained the situation, I was told that there were no other rooms available. This was concerning, as multiple booking websites showed availability for the same night. After insisting, the staff member said they would “check the system,” and shortly after, they produced a list of more than ten rooms for us to view and select from. The new room we chose was slightly better, but still did not meet the standards shown in the advertised photos. There was no bath mat provided for the shower, leaving only the dirty floor, and I was informed that if I wanted an additional towel to use for safety on the tiled surface, I would need to pay £3—an item that should reasonably be included. Although this second room was an improvement over the first, it still fell far short of the quality and cleanliness expected based on the hotel’s online presentation

Normally have a great stay at Kabannas and give them 5 stars but there were problems with payment, room was really hot, lady above me snored away (I had good ear plugs in) and then was on her laptop at 6am tapping away. Really poor night’s sleep. Room and bedding were clean.

Would have liked towels/hand towels in the room. Booking said towels were available to hire, but upon seeing reception was told they were all out

I didn't have breakfast. But the burger I had in the evening was good. Fast,smooth check in. Great staff and excellent location for Cavern. Beatles, tourists etc.

The area outside is very noisy with partying and people having fun, but once inside my room it was very quiet. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. I stayed in an 8-person dorm, and the other people were very quiet and respectful. Comfortable central place to stay.

Very central hotel for bars and shops. Noisy at night with the bars and people so would advise taking good earplugs.

It’s not a 5 star. Very basic. Clean, staff are great and location can’t be beat. Would stay here again.

Best staff ever.

Room has electronic system that requires phone or code to open, this malfunctioned leaving us trapped in the room, we had to call reception to come and let us out, very dangerous system to have in place if fire breaks out. Room was very hot and uncomfortable with no window, requested to move to room with window but was told not available, and given a fan to help, the fan did not work at all, was broken covererd in dust and second night was even worse heat wise with no window and no flowing air, we ended up leaving early to stay at a new hotel as could not tolerate another night without a window or fan. Other guests Very loud and inconsiderate, stopping, shouting and slamming doors throughout both nights we stayed

This feels like a hostel disguised as a hotel. Check in and communication with staff is difficult, there's a bar in the back where hotel staff works as bartenders but you would never guess that's who you go to for issues, the place is not the cleanest, and overall it is not worth the price. I would not stay here again.

I stayed in a 4 bed dorm for one night midweek. Two others stayed in the room and I ended up making quite good acquaintance with one - the power of hostels! The room itself was on the top floor and I found it a little cramped, but with three of us it was fine. Two of the lockers hinges were broken. The en-suite shower room was poorly designed so water goes everywhere. Check-in and access via the online key was easy for me. Others seemed to have issues, but perhaps that’s more a lack of technical literacy than anything else. If you are the kind of person who always has an issue using technology, perhaps book another place rather than wait to be confused and complain. In the small lobby downstairs there is a free coffee machine, which was very welcome in the morning. The location is right in the centre of Liverpool’s action, and that can be good or bad depending on your intentions. From our room the noise of the bars downstairs was audible until about 2am on a Thursday morning. However I was out until about 1am and managed to fall asleep okay, even without ear plugs (although those would be recommended). I wish the hostel would be more upfront about what is provided and what isn’t. Bring a towel and a padlock for the in-room locker, otherwise it’s £3 and £4 respectively. Luggage storage is available for free at check-out, even though the website mentions a charge. All a bit confusing.

Very nice hotel, the location is perfect

This is a hotel in the middle of many night clubs. The music is very loud and they stay loud until about 4 in the morning. The hotel gives you ear plugs but they don’t work.
