Morton Hotel

The room was small but clean and tidy. The air conditioning was good. The bathroom didn’t have any ventilation so the steam wet everything. The towel warming bar didn’t work. Housekeeping was ok, everyday they did less it seemed. The front desk staff were nice but not helpful. They didn’t even know what a towel warming rack was lol. I wish the hotel had a free continental breakfast or a happy hour it seems they’re wasting the cute basement lobby area. It’s a quiet place, no human interaction. The location was challenging if you are doing lots of touristy things. It’s not close to anything, it’s a 30 minute walk every main attraction. The area itself is secure and in a good neighborhood. Some places to eat nearby. If you know the Underground then you should be good, there is a station close by, but as an older couple we didn’t wrap our heads around the Underground. I think it’s a great hotel for a more youthful or fit demographic. If you’re older you can Uber everywhere but that’s can add up. Overall we liked The Morton.

Amazing location, super clean room and amazing staff. It’s literally a 10 minute walk from Euston and 10 second walk from Russell Square station. There’s amazing bakeries (fortitude!) near by as well as a few supermarkets. It can be a bit loud at night but it’s only for a short amount of time and a sound machine will drown that out.

The hotel was an excellent place to stay the first time as well as our second time. Staff was exceptionally friendly and hospitable. Location of the hotel is perfect due to a beautiful green space across the street with an Italian restaurant in the park. Amenities are a great plus also!!

I don’t even know where to begin, so let’s begin at the start. You arrive with public transportation, cross the street and a few meters down the road is the hotel. It’s a two minute walk from the station. Check-in was done swiftly and the staff was extremely polite. I booked a standard double room as a single traveller and I found it quite spacious and cozy decorated. The bed was very, very comfortable. I think this was the softest hotel bed I have ever slept in. Thw blanket was super, super soft. The bathroom was extremely roomy, especially the shower. My room was on the top (5th) floor and it was very quiet. I was worried, as London streets are busy, it would be noisy, this wasn’t the case. But ear plugs are provided in the night stands. In the closet you find plenty of hangers, a safe, iron/ironing board and a small mini bar with a kettle coffee maker and fridge. The fridge has been replenished daily with still and sparkling water, coffee and tea was replenished daily too. They even provide you with a small bottle of milk for your morning coffee. A vanity/shaving/sewing kit along with comb and shower caps are provided. The sewing kit was a live safer, as I have ripped one of my shirts. A very big plus for this hotel was an ice cold AC during the London heat wave, this was a welcome break from the heat. Location and AC were the reason I booked this hotel. The location of the hotel, right by Russell Square could not be any better. There are plenty of public transport options
