The room was large, clean and comfortable. The suite was well equipped. The hotel is older but nicely updated. The only downside was the soundproofing - if you need a very quiet room, this is not the place. But the location, comfort, size and affordability made up for the noise.

We booked a king studio for a week, which we did last year as well. This year’s room feels much smaller and quite crowded, so we feel that we have been downgraded from what we were charged. The stairs are an issue for me as well, which is recent due to a hip problem which I’m experiencing. We requested a king studio earlier this week but were told nothing else is available. We are here with a few others for an annual family gathering. The staff have tried to be helpful, the bathroom is very good, and the main room is definitely clean and attractive, just feels quite cramped. We are still hoping to be able to move to a roomier suite with no stairs after the weekend.

The staff looked pleasant and ready to serve the guests.We made a lot of food comfortable in the kitchen and ate it. All the dishes were well-equipped and clean. The only regret was that there was a lot of dust on the microwave. This place is easy to see, but I don't know why it wasn't cleaned. The parking lot was a fee, but it was affordable, so there was no burden and it was convenient to use. I will definitely stay here if I visit Victoria again next time. My day here was very comfortable and comfortable.

Really large room with a kitchenette. The beds were comfortable and the place was spotless! The big plus was it’s literally across the street from the Beacon Hill Park! We had such a great time walking through that beautiful park. We will definitely stay at the Helm’s Inn again when we’re in Victoria.

Handy location. Easy walk to restaurants and activities in the downtown area. Stayed in a spacious suite with a full kitchen. Parking lot was well lit but can’t always get a spot if you get in late. Parking available in lot next door though. Will be arranged by the front desk.

Nice hotel, located close to city center. We stayed in room 316, which was large, comfortable well appointed. We even had a kitchen, which allowed us to make lunch or breakfast. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

This hotel is in a good location - though a little loud due to its location on a semi busy street. Though the lobby and hallways look a little old-fashioned the room itself seemed updated and quite nice. I think all the rooms have kitchenettes, which is a convenient touch. Would stay again!

Quick stay, tried to check in at midday but room wasnt available, but the staff were super friendly. Coffee for those weary travellers and laundery at $3 which takes about 40 mins for a wash and 35 mins to dry said wash. Centrally located, actually, a great location for getting around the park and the city centre.

Great location very close to all the major sites and downtown as well as Beacon Hill Park. Smallish room but well laid out and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and complimentary coffee was always available. There was a lovely courtyard in the back and that was a relaxing area to sit and enjoy a coffee and read. Complimentary newspaper was also provided. Really, the only negative was the noisy air conditioner which we opted to turn off when we went to bed so we could sleep. However, it certainly worked well and kept the room niceand cool. Our room was located near the main road so traffic could be a bit noisy at times especially if there were sirens from ambulances or police cars going by. However, the majority of the rooms do not face the road and would be much quieter. We would book here again for sure.

Perfect location, right beside the royal BC museum, 2 minute walk to Parliament, and short 5-10 minute walk to central downtown. Convenient that it has a full kitchen that is fully stocked with utensils/pans/plates/bowls/cups/cutting board/knives/scissors, even with dish sponges, dish detergent, paper towels, dish cloth, kitchen towel, full size fridge/freezer, stove, oven (with baking pan!), microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker that actually makes good strong coffee for a hotel. Lots of lighting, not like your typical very dim Hotel room. Sofa bed that comes with a full size extra futon mattress so it is very comfortable. Old building but very clean. Very happy with this hotel!
