I exhibit at trade shows all year, and sometimes stay at more affordable places to save some cash when I can, since I go by myself and only use the room to sleep and leave. Most places in this price range leave a bit to be desired, but in all my travels, I have *NEVER* stayed in a place so skeevy as the Knights Inn Farmington Hill. It was absolutely disgusting, and every single element of the room promoted discomfort and revulsion. First off, I'm not sure where they got the photos for the lobby and the rooms, because there literally was no lobby—just a side door where you can speak to someone from behind (bulletproof?) glass. Also, not sure where they got *any* positive reviews from? The room was not as pictured either. The latching lock was broken, and there was nasty hair sticking out of the bathroom light switch and stuck to the shower walls. I saw a roach strutting proudly across the desk, and there were unidentified *red* stains all over the outside of the fridge, which froze and ruined all my food. Sticky floors, broken sink enclosure, and just plain nastiness everywhere I turned. The heat/air distributor made it way too hot, or ice cold, nothing in between. It is an absolute hellhole and is the catalyst for me to NEVER stay in that price range ever again. On the way back from my trip, I stayed at a Hilton Garden, and it felt like I had died and gone to heaven for just a little more. Just pay it and avoid this place - the most vomit-inducing stay of my lifetime.

the lobby didn't appear to be anything like what was portrayed in the pictures. I couldn't even go into the lobby. I had to go to a side room where I spoke to the front desk clerk through bulletproof glass. when i got to my room it was just outside a dumpster. there was a pallet of materials just outside my room. Overall I just did not feel safe there.

Bed was the best part. Comfy and clean king bed with very comfy bedding. Linens were clean and surfaces were wiped down. Everything else was subpar. Walls were dirty, hair in the bath tub drain and on the bed and the room smelled like smoke.

The hotel was completely disgusting. It smelled like old cigarettes. There were burns in the carpet, the bedding, the sheets on the table and also the vanity in the bathroom. There was flickering lights, lamps without light bulbs and a broken remote control for the television. I did not stay.I requested my money back and found a better hotel.

So I was not able to check into my room yesterday after I came here from Orlando once I got here to check-in the power was out. I asked about having a free night which it's well deserved, because I was not able to check-in until 6 o'clock. I had to wait outside in the rain because of the power outage. And when I was finally able to check-in the room, I got was not the best room. It's not clean as well as the carpet is dirty. today Tuesday , I asked about changing my room The guy at the front desk, the older guy was rude he act like didn't want to change my room when he could have done that. It's not that hard if a customer has a problem with their room, it should not be hard to change their room. Doesn't matter what time it is as long as you have vacancies, it should not be that hard.He said he had vacancies. But told me he could not change my room. Which they have done before, I don't see why you could not change my room. the service from him is horrible. I repeatedly asked him to change my room as they did before it should not be an issue and it should not be a problem. He told me to wait to change my room in the morning, which is very inconvenient because I have to work. Early morning, so I cannot wait to change my room in the morning. And as I recall about customer service, the customer is always right. This is very disappointing. I would hate to get service from him again. And if I do I hope to see improvements

Our last stay was pleasant so we decided to come again. Unfortunately, it wasn't nearly as nice. The Jacuzzi tub was dirty and elements were broken, the fire alarm was disassembled, TV screen damaged... It looks like the rooms may be getting renovated and we happened to get put into one that hasn't been updated. It's too bad because it's a perfect location, great price, and has the feel of family owned which is preferable to corporate in my opinion.

Walk in room notice bathroom was dirty and floor had water on it. Also there was water around the bed floor as well. Bathroom tub was dirty did not have and wash cloths. I stayed in room cause it was late and I was too tired to complain about the dirty room.

The bed was comfortable. Checked in. Reserved Queen with Kitchenette. That is not what we got. Told one would be available the next day. OR check at 8 AM if someone left, they'd clean it for us to use. The next morning, they told us we didn't pay much, so I just it didn't matter. We reserve rooms with a kitchen so we can refreeze our ice (the little fridge in our room barely made them cold) and save money on meals. Instead, I had to buy dinner and breakfast out. The shower only had half the water coming through the head. The rest ran into the tub. The TV didn't turn on. The room was extremely hot when we entered. AC did work, but it wasn't on when we entered. It took 1/2 hour to make it livable. We will not stay here again.

The rooms nasty my wife worked here was the best housekeeper they had the blankets was dirty with white stains the head housekeeper never cleans the blankets she tells the workers to flip them over.. it’s not kid friendly it’s not family friendly…. It’s limited areas to site see or walk the parking lots nasty trash is everywhere…. The air or heat works bare minimum…… I wouldn't let my dogs stay here let alone a human they have 11 year olds cleaning rooms and making beds horrible place to be

Atrocious! This motel was disgusting and runned down. There were bugs, the floor had red smears on it, the AC unit was covered in brown dirt caked on the filter. There were names etched on the wall,holes in the wall in the bathroom. We got a refund. No way! It was bad!
