    This Hotel does not have a decent Lobby where you can sit comfortably as you can find in most 5 star hotels around the world, Rooms are Ok, very traditional, classic decor, but ok, the Staff is very service oriented, but Inhad an issue since they didn't want to honor my Breakfast Benefit and the front desk man argued with me about it....

    In terms of the good, the hotel is perfectly located and very aesthetic. However, it feels a bit outdated. The spa was particularly underwhelming. There is no hot tub and the pool water was cold. In terms of service, my room was not ready by 3pm, which was frustrating given that I had made plans around the agreed upon/expected check in time. They did not even offer to comp a drink at the bar or upgrade the room, which is the service expectation for a 5-star hotel. In all, I would not make this my first choice in the city.

    We recovered from all the walking we did on Orkney. All of the staff were great. Javier in the restaurant gave us 6 star gold ✨️ service and attention. The hotel is right next door to the Waverly train station. If you are coming or going anywhere in Scotland, this is the place 👌.

    The deluxe room was extremely small. The photos online are very misleading. Even though we couldn’t take the room as planned due to covid (was supposed to be for us as a couple but instead my husband went with our son) the hotel was completely inflexible and not willing to even offer a change of date, despite us paying for one of the most expensive rooms available.
