An absolutely amazing hotel, beautiful, comfortable, clean and staff are professional yet friendly and engaging... I hated leaving this hotel. Breakfast was great, diverse tastebuds all covered, the patisserie was particularly impressive. The location is excellent for sightseeing, shopping and eating... so many cafes and restaurants within metres of the hotel. Trains and busses also easily accessed by foot.

Hotel was right in the heart of city center for touring and enjoying the city. Great hotel and staff accommodated our late check in, along with making arrangements for a very late dinner. You can park your car for a fee and leave it while you tour the next day without being charged an extra fee, but you need to let the hotel you require a parking space. Great value!

This is a three star hotel at the most. Nothing 5 star about it. Not a pleasant entrence squezzed in between simple shops. The room has holes in the walls where paintings have been hanging before, a big ugly IKEA bin, plastic and paper cups only, instant coffee. The staff had difficulties smiling. Way to overpriced.

Excellent hotel with brilliant location in the centre of Genoa. Almost every major site is walkable from the hotel. Because of the prime location however, the hotel only provides valet parking (at a fee). Room was great, as was breakfast. We didn’t try the bar or restaurants so cannot comment. There are plenty of food options available around the hotel, and it felt very safe to walk around during the daytime and evenings.

The hotel is lovely, old world style. Wonderful location and excellent buffet breakfast. Walkable to all sites, shopping, restaurants. Wood floors in the rooms are old and a bit creaky which I heard at night from the room above as well as our own. Helpful and friendly front desk staff. I would recommend the hotel and stay again.

Front desk was easy checkin and we were provided detailed description of places to see locally while visiting and info on the hotel. Location was perfect. In walking distance to many sites, shopping and restaurants. Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was good & plentiful. Would highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful older palatial property in an area surrounded by shopping and historical buildings. Room was stocked with everything needed and very clean. Modern bathroom, plenty of closet space, elevator. Beautiful lobby with staircase was worth taking pictures. Wonderful breakfast service.

Great location. Great historic hotel. Rooms have very high ceilings and look great. Recently renovated. My only concern: Housekeeping left their cart outside my door and used it as staging area. Noisy. I asked them to move it, and it was moved for about 12 hours, and then returned. I've never seen a hotel (must less a 5 star) leave the housekeeping cart and dirty linen bins in the hallways 24 hours a day. Also, I was on the 2nd floor. Dining is on the same floor. One night they had a private reception, and overflow chairs for sitting in the hotel hallway. So, the reception area spilled over to the hallway to rooms. Ask them not to put you on the 2nd floor.

Location was excellent. Staff were both friendly and helpful. Valet service for parking was first class. Breakfast was comprehensive (didn’t have dinner there) Reason this is not a ‘5’ is that the hotel is a bit ‘tired’ and in need of a refurb. The downsides of an old building (few power points, a quirky water system etc) were much in evidence.
