So bad - we ended up leaving.

The location only.

The property listing was misleading, as it is a shared apartment. The only private space is a tiny bedroom and adjoining en suite bathroom at the top of a very narrow circular flight of stairs which made it impossible to take up our suitcases. This is in addition to the multiple flights of stairs in the building to get up to the apartment. The bedroom itself had an absolutely awful smell, was very stuffy, and had a persistent clicking noise coming from the bathroom. There are 3 total rooms in the apartment, with a poorly lit common dining room/kitchenette. After not being able to take our luggage up the winding stairs to the bedroom, and with the terrible smell and bathroom noise we reached out to the owner just to confirm whether this was a shared apartment. The owner was simply unresponsive. It was not until we booked a different apartment (which was fully private, cleaner, and more affordable) that the owner eventually replied hours later. At this price you expect much more, and there are much better, more affordable places available.

High quality finishes on poor quality construction with an unresponsive host

The bed was comfortable with nice pillows. The finishes and decor in the apartment were quality and it had a nice feel. Good central location.

The host for this apartment was not responsive. We had an issue with the air conditioning our first night, it barely worked and the apartment was stuffy and humid. The host didn’t respond until the next day. We asked repeatedly for a fan and never got one. Instead of trying to help, the host focused on convincing us we didn’t have a real issue. The air conditioning did work well on the second night though, maybe because the other apartments AC were turned off. There was a terrible sewer gas smell coming from the bathroom. We figured it out that it was the trap on the bidet and added water to fix it. Also it isn’t clear from the pictures but this rental is a private bedroom in a shared apartment. The kitchen and table are shared with 3 other guest rooms.

Well located and smartly renovated but could do with more attention to detail

The accommodation is smartly refurbished on the second floor of an old building. The bathroom is super modern, and the king size bed is extremely comfortable. The kitchen (shared with guests of two other rooms) is very clean and has a decent dishwasher, two burner induction hotplate and fridge - plus lots of cutlery, glassware and crockery. The location is very central but reasonably quiet, and it is close to a good selection of restaurants, cafes and specialist shops. The air conditioning (once I found the remote down the back of the laundry basket) is excellent and very welcome.

Communication with the owners wasn't very good. They were slow to answer simple questions and didn't always reply at all (eg to my request for advice about public transport from the airport). I was very surprised there were no written notes for visitors, eg with the WiFi code (which I had to ask for), with instructions on emergencies, with advice on local shopping, places to eat and transport, and with arrangements for checking out and leaving keys. Kitchen equipment was a bit odd too - lots of cutlery glassware and crockery but no saucepans. It is surprising also to find a place like this without a microwave or electric kettle. Generally, to justify a premium price like this needs a bit more attention to detail, and to the likely needs of guests.

Good location

Comfortable room with a great location. Close to the train station, restaurants and even Citta Alta. But for the price paid I was expecting more attention to details. For example a bottle of water in the room, a flyer with the availability of a wifi connection in the house.. And a bed linen which was not collecting all the dust from the room.

*A smell from the sewage system (seems to be a building issue, not the owner). * You have to go up two sets of stairs to reach the room - can be tricky with heavy luggage. * No full-length mirror in the room

Very nice apart-hotel, bathroom is new and clean, all the appliances working well, comfortable bed, cozy balcony. Kitchen area has all the basic appliances.

Sijainti oli hyvä ja huoneisto vasta remontoitu

Talo hissitön ja varsinkin majoitushuoneisiin 2 ja 3 vievä portaikko oli kapea, jos sinulla on iso matkalaukku mukanasi. Viemäreiden haju piti itse poistaa vettä laskemalla. Tämä on kuulema yleinen ongelma Bergamon keskustan asunnoissa. Itse varasimme huoneiston nopeasti tien päällä ja meiltä jäi muutama asia huomaamatta, jotka kyllä tarkasti lukien olisi ollut ilmoitettu tai kuvissa nähnyt. Kyseessä on siis kolmen huoneen huoneisto, jossa on jaettu keittiö/ruokailutila. Käytössäsi ei siis ole esim. omaa jääkaappia. Yläkerran parvekkeen ilmoitettu katunäkymä vaatii kurkistelua, koska huoneisto on aivan kattorakenteiden alla eli et voi katsella kadulle normaalisti tuolissa istuen.

Mooie schone kamer, goede bedden en centraal in het ontzettend mooie Bergamo. Echt een prachtstad.

Helaas kregen wij geen contact met de verhuurder. Verdere communicatie mbt de toegang wel heel duidelijk.

Sehr gute Lage, schön eingerichtet, grosse Räume, sehr sauber.

Fenster sind schlecht isoliert, Lärm von draussen gut hörbar. Küche hat keinen Abzug/Lüftung, es riecht nach dem Kochen stark in der Wohnung.

Zentrale Lage

Sehr klein und eng. Man teilt sich eine Küche mit den weiteren Wohnungen. Klimaanlage defekt und sehr heiß und stickig in der Wohnung. Wir wurden um 8:30 aus der Wohnung geworfen, da die Handwerker die Klimaanlage reservieren wollten - von Booking bekommen wir zur Beschwerde keine Rückmeldung. Alles in allem sehr schlechtes Erlebnis

Huoneiston sijainti on erinomainen. Huone oli myös erittäin siisti ja sängyn pussilakana bonusta.

Kommunikaatio oli hieman haastavaa, koska viesteihin ei vastattu. Tässä varmaan kyseessä kielimuuri.

La cucina è in comune con 3 stanze

La posizione è molto centrale. L'appartamento è stato appena ristrutturato. Il bagno della camera n. 3 molto bello. La prima ora l'ho passata in compagnia del fabbro (dato che gli inquilini precedenti avevano rotto la chiave) ma almeno il problema è stato subito risolto.

Non era segnalato che la mia camera (la numero 3) era ubicata su delle scale molto ripide. In cucina mancanza di scolapiatti, scolapasta, e presenza di un pentolino che però non fa accendere la piastra ad induzione (prima di capirlo sono stata molto tempo a fare le prove del caso). La cucina ha solo due fornelli e le stanze sono 3, quindi per cucinare bisogna fare la fila, e non ci sono cassetti dove ogni stanza può mettere le proprie cose senza mischiarle con gli altri. Alle 14.15 c'era la donna delle pulizie che stava ancora pulendo la cucina... L' host non ha risposto alla mia chiamata. La porta dell' appartamento rimane sempre aperta... A piedi è un po' distante dalla stazione.
