Cannot recommend this place enough! Well worth the money. Fabulous staff, comfortable dorm. Not overly social, but the island is pretty sociable so it didn’t matter. Less than a minutes walk to the nearest beach! Great menu in the cafe! And money off if you stay. Good coffee and a good place to sit and people watch. I stayed for 2 weeks - so got a feel for the place! Good facilities and always a shower available! Good locker space and I’m a fan of capsule beds so this was a win.

Overall it’s a good experience.

Location is perfect. Next to the pier and just perfect. Room is super clean and A/C works great. Staffs are super friendly, good English speaking. Food is good, coffee is good. I would stay here again if I come to koh Tao again.

I don’t like the fact that they turn off A/C 3 hours from 11am-2pm everyday. It’s really hot during that time of the day. It’s hard to nap after early morning scuba diving 😂 the bathroom is always wet is another thing that I don’t like. But it’s still okay

Top Hostel in Koh Tao

We had a perfect stay in the Near Me Hostel and bistro and even extended two time and ended up staying over two weeks! The location is very handy and all things are in walkable distance. We stayed in the 6 bed dorm and the beds where very comfortable and you have bag looker to put all your stuff inside. The bathroom gets constantly cleaned and there is a water dispenser. The staff is very friendly and help you with all the question you might have and we even booked there our transportation back to bangkok which worked excellent. The bistro downstairs served nice food and drinks.

The only thing we missed a bit would be a nice little cozy corner where the hostel guest can hang out in the evening.

Clean, cozy and super friendly staff. The beds are really comfortable with curtains for privacy. The hangout spot is share with cafe downstairs which is provided delicious breakfast and coffee. Peaceful hostel and good base in Koh Tao.

Good food in the cafe downstairs. You had big lockers which was amazing for our bags and privacy. The aircon was amazing too! It’s only a 25 minute walk to all the main party areas and super close to the dock. Beaches nearby were all lovely and clean.

The toilet/ shower cubicles smelt quite bad. It’s not particularly nice to walk over a wet shower cubicle with bare feet to get to the toilet, which often was covered in soap and water. There is also no common area and no food aloud in the dorms, so you couldn’t buy and eat food that wasn’t from their cafe.

Perfect stay for my vacation trip and still needs to work — fast Wi-Fi, quiet room, and smooth check-in/out. The location was convenient, and the service was top-notch. I’ll definitely book here again when I’m back in Koh Tao.

What a peaceful and cozy stay!

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at throughout my trips in Thailand! Super clean, Safe and stylish. Loved the cozy common area and they provide delicious breakfast and coffee with 10% off for hostel guests. Staff were friendly and gave great tips about the area. Perfect for solo travelers!

Quiet and pleasant stay

Very clean, quiet hostel. I enjoyed the café downstairs, you can always grab a coffee on the way. Some staff is a little bit awkward but it doesn’t affect your stay. They also give you a towel which was nice.

I wish there was more than water available for guests (eg. instant coffee, bananas). The staff checking me in was quite unpleasant and told me I would have to pay if blood got on my sheets- I don’t think this is standard or normal.

Le dortoirs de six était très propre et les lits très confortable. L’hostel est bien situé: à côté du port, et pas très loin des plages. Le restaurant de l’hostel propose de très bon petit déjeuner.

Les sanitaires ne sont pas pratiques du tout: douches et toilettes dans la même cabine. C’est petit, pas pratique pour se changer et pas très hygiénique.

Habe noch nie so ein unglaublich sauberes und komfortables Hostel erlebt! Man fühlt sich wie in einem Hotel. Die Schlafsäle sind hell und geräumig und riechen immer frisch, die Einrichtung ist modern und man bekommt sogar einmalig ein gratis Frühstück unten im Bistro, das wirklich klasse ist!

Es ist nicht sehr social, da es keinen wirklichen Gemeinschaftsraum gibt, wo man andere Backpacker kennenlernen könnte

Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt

Die Lage ist optimal, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Betten sehr bequem. Draußen gibt es viele Möglichkeiten Handtücher & co zum trocknen aufzuhängen. Die Schließfächer sind sehr groß, sodass ein Backpack einfach reinpasst.

Jeweils eine Dusche und eine Toilette in einem Raum. Da Schuhe/ Flipflops in dem Bereich verboten sind, tritt man automatisch immer ins Nasse, wenn man die Toilette benutzen möchte. Außerdem ist sehr schlechte Luft in den Dusch-& Toilettenraum.

Es ist sehr sauber. Liegt sehr gut. Nahe am Fährenhafen und wenn man gerne ruhig schläft, ist es perfekt da es dort sehr ruhig ist. Wenn man gerne Party macht, kann man gut zu Fuss in die belebten Ecken laufen.

Schön wäre es, wenn es für die Hostelgäste einen Aufenthaltsraum mit gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten und evtl. Wasserkocher und kleiner Küche hätte.
