Perfect chilled family getaway.
Excellent location for our plans ( family walks) Lots to see and do in the area and surrounding areas. Beautiful scenic local walks. Hot tub was perfect way to relax after a day out walking. Cottage was cosy, clean and comfortable. Enclosed garden for the kids and dog. Host was welcoming and helpful.

Ideal Dumfries area base
Nice cottage feel to the property, not overdone, just a simple cottage. Great size bedrooms, lovely bathroom, well appointed kitchen with washing machine which was handy for spinning swim costume after a dip in the hot tub! V close to road, but it has good double glazing that cuts the noise out. Back garden quite private, hot tub in particular is in a secluded spot. Lots of nice touches like an emergency supply of tea, coffee and biscuits! We were met in person on arrival which was great. During our stay we had reason to contact the host about an item we forgot to pack and she was more than happy to help us out. We would definitely return if we needed accommodation in the area again.
We didn't get to make full use of the property as we were using it as a base for a family wedding and so couldn't fairly rate the entire stay.
