Nice property but serious issue with bedbugs

The location of the mezzanine apartment was very convenient—central, quiet, and well-connected. The design and layout were also functional and pleasant, with decent facilities. The rest of the property was clean and well-kept upon arrival, and I appreciated the open-plan style and brightness of the downstairs area.

Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by a serious health and hygiene issue. Upon waking up on the first morning, I discovered bedbugs and visible blood stains on the mattress and sheets. This was deeply distressing and unacceptable. I contacted the owner immediately but received no meaningful assistance. I specifically requested fresh bed sheets so I could sleep on the sofa downstairs (as I wanted to avoid relocating mid-stay), but my request was ignored entirely. I ended up moving all of my belongings downstairs to avoid the infestation, which made the rest of the stay very uncomfortable. Despite the seriousness of this issue—both in terms of hygiene and potential health risks—the owner remained unresponsive. I am currently pursuing the matter with Booking.com, but the owner is not responsive, which I find wholly inadequate for the severity of the situation. I have documented photographic evidence, which I’ve chosen to share here to forewarn guests. The lack of care and communication from the host, especially in response to a known infestation, has left a very negative impression. I would not return to this property or recommend it to others. It’s a real shame, as it had potential—but the handling of this issue made it an experience I wouldn’t want others to go through.

Moment magique

Absolument tout! Appartement vraiment très agréable, super bien équipé, décoré avec goût, très propre. Vraiment hyper centre dans la zone la plus animée en soirée de Caen centre (pr autant appartement très au calme). Communication avec les propriétaires hyper fluide, des personnes charmantes qui plus est! Ravis, on reviendra très vite!!

Très bruyant manque de sécurité dans les escalier mon chien a chuté il en est mort, un portillon en haut de l'escalier ne serai pas de trop Heureusement que ce n'était pas un enfant je l'ai signalé à la propriétaire elle m'a fait comprendre de c'était écrit dans l'annonce. Je ne recommande pas cette appartement .
