Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — within walking distance of the promenade, the beach, and the main attractions. We were very happy with how conveniently everything was located. The room was spacious, modern, clean, and well-maintained. It was also very convenient to have a refrigerator in the room. The minibar is available but comes at an extra charge. Overall, the room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was not really to our taste. The selection felt limited for us personally, and unfortunately, we could not find many options we enjoyed, so we chose to have breakfast outside the hotel. However, this is a matter of personal preference. Most of the staff were excellent — friendly, professional, and welcoming. We would especially like to thank Filip, who was exceptionally polite and helpful throughout our stay. The staff in the main restaurant were also very kind and attentive. The only negative experience was with the receptionist who checked us in. We were told that our room would be ready at 3:00 PM, so we went out for a walk. When we returned at 2:40 PM, she informed us that the room was still being cleaned and was not ready yet. And that we have to wait till 3p.m exactly. We decided to wait in the lobby this time, and almost immediately afterward she suddenly told us that the room was actually ready. This gave us the impression that she simply did not want to check us in at that moment. In addition, her attitude toward us felt consistently cold and unwelcoming, which left a disappointing impression. Aside from this one interaction, all other members of the staff were wonderful. For its excellent location, spacious and clean rooms, and overall comfort, we would recommend this hotel. There is construction nearby, but it did not disturb us during our stay
The only downsides were the construction site next to the hotel and our check-in experience. Because of the dust from the construction, we preferred to keep the windows closed, although the noise itself was not an issue and did not disturb our stay. We also found the check-in process somewhat confusing, as we received inconsistent information about when our room was ready. Unfortunately, this left us with a less-than-ideal first impression of the hotel.

The staff were very friendly but at times a little formal
The food quality was not always as good as it should be, stale croissants on Sunday, wilted salad leaves and fruit past its best. Breakfast menu was average. The raspberry bowl turned out to be raspberry flavoured porridge overly sweet with agave and 3 raspberries. For this reason we didn’t have dinner in the restaurant.

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a la carte only. Cocktails were very good.
When we arrived we were told that the roof top pool was closed. We had chosen this hotel mainly because of the roof top pool, so this was a big disappointment. The hotel did give us free access to a nearby beach club, but this was not really what we were looking for. We enjoy sunbathing in a peaceful location. We chose the Porto Palace because it was a boutique hotel with only 19 rooms. The beach club had a capacity of about 130 people and was almost full at the weekend. The beach club also played loud music at all times. The hotel is superbly located on the edge of Porto Montenegro but also right next to a building site. Every day (including Sunday) from about 7:30 am until 5 or even 6:30 pm one day with constant pounding, drilling and excavation machinery. This meant that the terrace for breakfast and meals and drinks was very noisy and dusty. We were not informed of either of these very important factors before our trip, had we known we would probably have switched to a different hotel.
