A truly memorable stay!

This hotel was one of the highlights of our Balkans trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond for us. Upon arrival there was a member of staff waiting for us in the car park to take us with our luggage to the room. After helping us with our bags, he drove us up to a boat tour operator, to make sure we made the last trip out to the monastery on the island. We also had dinner in the restaurant, which was a truly incredible experience! The food was awesome and the wine was great, and we sat right out by the water. The bed was also potentially one of the comfiest I've ever slept on (I even made sure to note down the brand of mattress)! Thank you for such a memorable stay!

A good restaurant that my family and I have visited more than once. Everyone is smiling, the kitchen is wonderful; the hotel is also beautiful: the view is like from a picture, very cozy, BUT! I didn’t leave a positive impression, thanks to the staff. It's about the service. The hotel employee gave the information incorrectly, and as a result, 330 € was deducted from me; and the new management (according to the employees of the same hotel) did not want to understand the situation.

An unforgettable stay in a magical location with outstanding service — highly recommended!

The location is absolutely perfect, right by the water with stunning views of Perast and the bay. The hotel is beautiful and full of character, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally kind and professional. Breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant offers excellent food with an amazing atmosphere.

Dedication of the staff was impressive. It was Ed whom took care of us and share all details regarding wedding as we are planing one next year. He was knowledgable and polite. Room was spacious rustic and super clean.

The manager of reception was absolutely fantastic! From the warm welcome to the friendly farewell, he was always accommodating, professional, and a truly outstanding host. The location is incredible, and the exceptional service from Evhad is the main reason we’ve already booked again for next year. We can’t wait to come back! See you soon!

A beautiful place for a few days' stay (with easy bus access to Kontor and other major towns)

All (facilities and services) very good, except for a smell from the drains in the shower-room (and the skylight was not openable). The annex in which we were accommodate was accessed via 86 steps (which could be problematic for some), but the "bell-boy", as he called himself, insisted on carrying up all of our bags. The low score for "Parking" was because there was no customer parking because NO NON-RESIDENT'S VEHICLES ARE PERMITTED IN THE VILLAGE OF PERAST (people arriving by car (including taxis) need to park in the free car parks at each end of the village and call hotel reception). On the good side, the hotel (as other hotels) will always provide transport for people and luggage, in golf buggies, if requested. If travelling to Perast by (the very cheap) public bus need to be aware that, from the bus stop above the centre of Perast, walking access to the sea-front is down about 400 very rough steps - it MIGHT be possible to get off at one end or other of the village and walk along the level road.

Highly recommended!

Although it was a bit difficult to find the parking lot, the hotel provided excellent assistance. Make sure to go directly to Park1, as it is reserved for hotel guests, while Park2 is used by locals who want you to book boats. The hotel staff were very nice and offered a lot of help. The room was great, and we were even upgraded to an ocean view room. Highly recommended!

Magical experience in a charming hotel in stunning Perast next to the achingly beautiful fjord

Magical experience on the shore of the Bay of Kotor. Lovely hotel with a lot of character and very helpful staff. Great breakfast selection and amazing it have it out in the restaurant area overlooking the water. The apartments was very spacious with incredibly comfortable beds.

Enjoyable but could be improved with some simple things

The location of the restaurant by the waters edge is fantastic. So beautiful. The hotel is spread out throughout Perast. We were in an Annex room up many stairs which we didn’t mind ( and we knew about in advance) which was peaceful and spacious and had a lovely private garden. The staff we had contact with were marvellous and so helpful - reception, the buggy drivers ( especially lovely Dragan) and the helpful and attentive room servicing girls ( thank you Uma) The restaurant in the evening was wonderful. Great service and delicious food Parking option was useful for us

The pool was a long way from our room. The door of the annex room needs fixing We didn’t like the wardrobe in the middle of the room. Would be better without it there. The smelly drain in the bathroom needs attention Breakfast - adequate but not as good as it should be for this standard of hotel. Chaotic and not enough coffee stations. Tea and coffee should be brought to the tables to elevate the huge queue for one fairly useless machine.

Great locayion and breathtaking views

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. Breakfast was great, plenty of choices and we could sit at the edge of the water with a breathtaking view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice little swimming pool which we were able to enjoy in the late afternoons.

Car parking was confusing to find with a lack of signage, and costed another €15 per night. Could also hear the guests in the next room along if the doors were being opened and closed.

Great location in a peaceful hotel

The hotel is located right on the water, in a historic building, it is very easy to see Perast and in the evenings is very calm and peaceful. The breakfast is great, and the staff are very helpful. As Perast is car free in the Summer, they pick you up from the car park in a golf buggy.

The images on the listing are misleading. It implies that there is an area part of the hotel where you can swim in the bay with sunbeds. In fact, these are photos from a nearby beach bar called Oliviana, we went there a couple of times, it is EUR30 for 2 sunbeds for the day.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Welcome staff were fantastic. Great breakfast and the Hotel restaurant was one of the best meals we had on our trip. All the staff were super helpful and cheerful 😃

Plenty of space and comfort in a beautiful coastal town.

Spacious room with very comfy big bed, lots of storage space, good furniture and good bathroom. Incredible location, especially considering the reasonable price. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff were friendly, helpful and patient with questions. In general, the hotel was working from the perspective of how to make the guest's stay as good as possible, instead of solely minimizing costs or effort; sadly rare nowadays.

Hard to identify anything major, generally a very good experience. Some very minor things. Perhaps an additional bin in the room could have been handy. If the mugs were replaced instead of being cleaned that would also have been nice. Additionally, some more comprehensive info. on the area e.g. beaches, tap water quality, whether it's ok to swim if it rains heavily would be really useful, as the internet didn't have much on that.

An unforgettable week

Conte hotel is exceptional and the best place to stay in Perast - the facilities are modern and top notch, the staff is incredibly kind and helpful - the bellboys, the cleaning staff, the receptionists and everyone else are absolutely amazing! The villa was stunning and spacious, with a clean pool, large well-appointed bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. The food is delicious and a wonderful blend of traditional Montenegrin and western food so one is able to experience the local cuisine. The hotel offers all services one may require including transport to and from parking spaces with their electric vehicle and also various transfers to other parts of the country.

Highly recommended!

Loved Conte Hotel in beautiful Perast. Wonderful staff including Mia on Reception and Balsa Bell Boy made a fantastic impression and looked after us for our four days. We had a two bedroom apartment with balcony and sea view, near to the pool. It was fabulous with plenty of room for the four of us. Immaculately clean and excellent housekeeping everyday, super comfy beds, highly effective AC. Lovely pool area, great buggy service (no cars allowed in Perast). Highly recommended!

The only element of our stay that was not of high standard was the breakfast. It was so poor! Lacking the basics (you can’t even toast the bread) poorly organised, very limited choices and not of good quality. No pride taken in breakfast by any of the morning staff, we were so surprised as the rest of the hotel is fabulous! Some real work needs doing to significantly improve everything about breakfast.

Not good enough for a prices.

Very good location with a nice sea view from room and during the breakfast. Very polite majority of personal. Many thanks to Djole, Dragan and Jovan for a recommendations, being nice and polite and support.

We have booked a junior suite with a sea view and got a standard room instead. After complain reception tried to explain us that we missunderstood the descriptions it and did not react, which was ridiculous. On the next day the junior suite under us was free and after asking to change room we were rejected again. Except young lady on reception guys were very unprofessional. The restaurant Conte is highly expensive, personal is but very nice and polite, but food quality is not worth the price. Fish specialties are not fresh and we do not recommend to take it. All at all Perast is beautiful place but not used appropriate. We will not come back to Hotel Conte again.

A beautiful start to our Montenegrin adventure. Wonderful views every morning and plenty to see and do.

The views and the location were perfect and although Perast gets busy with cruise ship tourists it never felt overcrowded.

Perfect!

Comfortable, stylish yet quirky rooms (set in different locations around the centre of Perast). Gorgeous pool terrace and perfectly appointed restaurant. Helpful, smiley staff (notably Nicolas at the pool who was so polite and obliging with excellent English, Gordan in the restaurant who explained all the local foods and wines to us and Ed at reception who couldn’t do enough… to name but a few).

Comfortable and friendly.

Everything was very individual. Rooms were in different buildings within Perast. The breakfast terrace was stunning with views over the Fiord.

Room 12 was beautiful but was set to the back of reception and early in the mornings could hear lots of noise from staff moving deliveries around in and out of store rooms & kitchen area.

Superb restaurant in a beautiful location.

Excellent restaurant, views, nice staff. Nice pool area but up quite a lot of steps and a bit of a walk from the hotel room.

Unfortunately the breakfast’s really let the hotel down, poor variety, some things felt a bit stale., such a shame as the restaurant in the evening is fantastic. We also had a problem with our air con and had to have a fan. The hotel were apologetic and gave us a discount so thank you but it’s a high quality hotel and just needs to check the fabric of the rooms eg window handles carefully.

Great location ,super staff but hotel felt a bit unloved.

location was great. staff were very friendly & helpful. Great restaurant

room was a bit tired and there was a lack of attention to the Annex area in general including room maintenance, e.g broken sink tap, leaking boiler in which could easy have been fixed. I reported lights on the v steep steps were out. Didn't get dealt with for the 5 nights we were there. Poor given the health and safety issue. Small hotel and pool area. Didn't expect to share it with 4 young screaming children. Totally spoiled the whole ambience of the area / location. I think the hotel should seriously considereal whether it's suited to children under 12 given that 95% of guests were couples. It's our second visit to Perast but our first in the Conte hotel. We will definitely visit again but unsure we will go back to this hotel.
