The family that runs this hotel and the location of it made for a perfect get-a-way in quiet Perast.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the family that runs/owns it! We unexpectedly needed to arrive a day early due to our jobs requiring some online meetings. We also needed two separate rooms for these meetings. They accommodated us perfectly (as our three-bedroom place was not available, yet). Because of the time difference, we had to miss breakfast (and lunch); however, the lovely staff made sandwiches for us and left them outside our rooms, so that we could quickly grab them between the online meetings! After this crazy day of work, we were able to move into the 3-bedroom villa, and we were joined by our daughter and son-in-law. The place is older, but nicely maintained. The bathroom downstairs has a full-size tub and shower combo. The bathroom upstairs is small, but functional and new. The bedrooms were small, but had dressers and closets if one wanted to fully unpack. All the beds were firm and comfortable, and the views of the bay were glorious. While Perast doesn't have much to do in the town (when it is colder in October, at the end of swimming season), we enjoyed small boat tours of the bay and sitting in the lovely dining area of the hotel that is ON the water! We stayed from Sunday until Friday, so we got to know the owners/staff a little during our stay. One afternoon, while just sitting on the patio of the villa, they brought us home-baked traditional cake and wine (complimentary), and another day, they did something similar, bringing us wine and treats as an afternoon snack. :D This hotel is run by a family that has passed it down from generation to generation, and the care they put into it and their customers shows!

Breathtaking views and the most wonderful staff.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Admiral. The staff were genuinely kind, warm and always smiling - you truly feel taken care of from the moment you arrive. Milena, who runs the hotel, is simply incredible - she goes above and beyond for her guests and can literally arrange anything: taxis, taxi boats, restaurant bookings. The location is perfect with breathtaking views over the bay, and Perast itself is a magical little town full of charm and history. The atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing and authentic. We felt at home straight away and can’t wait to return.

Mixed experience

Beautiful town. We stayed in the three-room apartment, which is a small house attached to the hotel with direct access to the street. It was quite old and with a quite special decor, but it had two bathrooms and it did the trick. If you are attracted by authentic experiences, this will tick the box. It is smack in the middle of town and on the promenade so the location could not be better. The receptionist (possibly the owner) was very kind. This is also a good base for exploring the broader region.

One staff member told us not to swim in front of the hotel as there was "black water and it was contaminated" but many guests did. The breakfast was a mixed experience and the service was not great on the day. The parking was a bit confusing. Unlike some other hotels, Admiral does not have reserved parking spaces at the end of town, so you just had to find one, but often got chased away by parking attendants who told us it was reserved for others. If you call the hotel at arrival, they will send you a golf cart and that worked well and is a service you shoud take, especially if you only find a parking spot 1km down the road due to lack of reserved places. The furniture in the apartment was generally quite uncomfortable and the staircase to the upper floor was very steep, but the beds were decent.

Heritage hotel by the water

Heritage property that is family owned on the waterfront. We found the food to be good and the staff lovely.

Pillows lumpy! Our room (102) compact but balcony was lovely. Parking is a challenge but as its car free village this is the same for all.

Incredible stay in an amazing location with lovely views.

Staff were very helpful and kind. We missed our flight to Tivat and had to fly to Dubrovnik instead, they still managed to get a shuttle to us. The driver offered to drive us to all the places we wanted to go for cheaper/similar price to other taxi services we had seen. They also helped us get from Budva to Dubrovnik when our ferry was cancelled last minute and at the point we had finished our stay at the hotel. Our room with a balcony facing the bay had incredible views, had ample storage with a large comfy bed, and a much-needed working AC. The bathroom was nice and clean. Breakfast was okay, they ran out of the item we wanted, but we were fairly late so it is to be expected. We would definitely stay here again!

Not a 4-star hotel, but that's alright

The bed was quite comfortable, and the room and bathroom were very clean. The location is perfect.

It is certainly not a 4-stat hotel. The check in was handled by the waiters of the restaurant downstairs, so they were in a rush to get us to our room and keep working. You will find the most basic toiletries (shampoo, gel and hand soap). The breakfast is quite bad. The price you pay is mainly for the location.

One of the best places you will ever stay

The property was in a fantastic location with amazing views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was probably the most comfortable we have ever slept on. Breakfast was also excellent. You will not find a better view anywhere while eating your breakfast than hotel Admiral. On our last morning we had to leave early so the staff gave us sandwiches and juices to take with us on our trip. We considered this to be very thoughtful. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Very good location on the main street by the water, with nice views. Spacious room with big bed, and everything was very clean.

Check-in was a bit messy. Room itself was basic, and the shower was broken (handheld shower kept falling down). They told us when and where breakfast was, but it turned out not to be included. (we should have doublechecked our booking, but we assumed since she offered) Restaurant is not good.

Wonderful Place to Stay

Our room had an absolutely gorgeous view and the hotel is in a phenomenal location. The room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. Our hosts were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and graciously helped us with everything we needed. It was a genuine treat to stay there and meet them! We would love to visit Perast again and stay at the Admiral Hotel!

Our attic room would be excellent in Spring or Autumn with good views. In summer (July) it was terrible. It was VERY hot and the AC unit was useless. Sleep was impossible. A fan would have helped and should be supplied or even better repair the AC. On another separate issue the black mould in the shower is unhealthy and disgusting and seems to have been there for some time

If there was one place I will not forget in Montenegro, it is Perast and a beautiful hotel!

One of the best locations in the whole of Montenegro one could ask for! The hotel is located just waking distance from the gates to Perast. Breakfast was included and the area was a very picturesque! (Early morning look out for Dolphins, you might just get lucky) Very friendly owners, their restaurant is also well managed!

A good basic hotel in Perast

Great location in the centre of the sea front in Perast, with great access to the town. Room was very clean with good shower, lots of hot water and good A/C which we needed in very hot weather Waitress serving breakfasts very friendly Hotel shuttle to help with luggage from edge of the village (though not always available)

The breakfasts are ok but are waiter service and don’t start until 08h30. The food is ok but I would say overall the Restaurant at the hotel (where we also ate for an evening meal) was the worst meal we had in the 5 or so nights we had in Perast. Rooms and hotel not suitable for those with mobility problems and not the hotels fault but parking in Perast is very difficult and most of the time you need to just leave car parked on pavement on side of main road hoping not to get a ticket Reception not 24hours and needed to call every time we needed it as nobody was there/answering bell

All was good at Hotel Admiral.

Staff managed to squeeze us in to a parking space close to the hotel as it was late when we arrived. we just ate and went for a quick walk along the waterfront before going to bed. WiFi was good and view from window also stunning.

All was fine but the food was quite pricey.
