The Mar Huts - The Lomond Hut

It was all brilliant. Nice and clean. Well thought out, the little basket full of goodies was a nice surprise. The river in front of the hut - lovely. Loved that there were board games, played a few rounds of dominoes that was a good laugh haha. Everything was really great. Me and my husband kept saying good job guys! We wish you all the success.

The only thing I’d say is there isn’t really privacy for the hot tubs. The fences had gaps between them and we had full view of The Conic’s hot tub when we went down to the river for a wander. Also I couldn’t see the mar hut’s sign due to overgrown tree branches - I knew where to go from the little lights outside. But otherwise everything was great and I’d absolutely come back.

Loved the aesthetic of the property. Looked so cute and cosy. Love the games and the hamper was a lovely touch and who doesn’t love a hot tub.

Great spot hot tub on point!

I liked the ambience of the hut, the small touches that the owner left were pretty cool. The staff did give spare towels etc when asked which was appreciated.

The drain on the shower was clogged with hair and other gung. The shower base then overflowed on to the floor and I had to use the towels to dry the floor the best I could. I then pulled the drain out to find the reason and found the aforementioned problem (as seen from the photo I pulled that out). During the night the top sheet on the bed came off. I lifted the mattress to put it back on and on doing so my hand was became wet. There is clearly a problem with dampness under the bed. I turned the light on and discovered my hand was covered in black mold too. The room thereafter smelled for the rest of the night despite opening the windows.
