Upside down cottage

Great location, lovely living room and well-equipped kitchen.

Bed was small and uncomfortable. Temperature of the house was on the cool side.

Cosy stay in characterful, centrally located spot

We liked the quirky nature of the place! Also that it was so central and reasonably priced. Bruce, our host shared local knowledge too which really enhanced our stay. Thanks Bruce!

Not a problem for us staying just one night however quite a few cobwebs around. That said it is the time of year for them and in a characterful place like this it's probably a full time job keeping on top of them!

A great place to rest and recharge

Bruce has setup a great retreat. The beautiful place to stay, and he is always available to share knowledge and assistance to anything. He thought of everything you consider, even parking options and routes around

So much potential but so disappointing

Great location, quirky property.

The hot water was not working. We were only there for one night so not time for the issue to be resolved so I did not raise at the time. The place is tired and in need of some tlc. Dust and spiderwebs visible throughout. Carpets have visible stains. Towels old and hard. No working plug in bathroom sink and the kitchen bin is a plastic bag hanging from a hook. This place has so much potential but it really needs an overhaul. I'm glad we were only booked for one night.

I love Settle as a walking area and the house suited me fine. Hopefully I will come back here soon.

Location is excellent. Single bed was comfortable. I loved the quirky layout and the house. Should have stayed longer as I really liked being there.

I had to spray the house because it smelt of dogs. There were cobwebs behind the beds and on all the rafters. I think more attention should be made to cleaning. The towels were awful and I am glad I took my own with me.

We stayed weekend 21/3-23/3/25 (Graham) and should be refunded £35 out of decency.

We really enjoyed our stay, and the property was 'cosy' and central. We had a small issue with the hot water, spoke to owner who was very helpful.

Bedrooms were found woefully neglected by the cleaner !!!!! made us worry whether the bed linen was fresh or not. Terrible filth/rubbish found behind both chest of drawers, one black sock found under a bed, half eaten packet of sweets, 3x2pence coins and some rubbish found under chair cushion, and double bed slats fell out during the night. The kitchen cupboards also needed cleaning and sorting out. You need to check your cleaner's work, you are being 'Done over' or you are 'complicit' ! We left all cupboards away from walls on departure ! JUST IN CASE ?
