Need to upgrade the TV. As we needed to stand up 1 meter away for the remote control to work. A Nespresso machine would be nice too!

Lovely self-contained snug in the centre of a typical Oxford town.

Home away from home. Good private parking on site. Situated just off the town centre, but in a private, quiet road. Plenty of space, warm, private, and inviting, with outside decking for summer dining. Well maintained, pretty property.

Initially a challenge to find, despite the very thorough description. The narrow entrance lane would definitely suit a smaller/medium vehicle. When we arrived there was a lot of tradesmen vans working on a property on the entrance lane, almost obscuring the house entrance. We even witnessed a work van pulling out onto the main road and taking out a parked car which was selfishly parked. Thats the only issue, and the rest of our stay was unproblematic.

Lovely place to stay with all the facilities you need.

This is an ideal location for an Oxford city holiday because Charlbury is a short train ride from the city. The surrounding area is well worth exploring too.

The church clock strikes every 15 minutes 24/7. This is only a problem for the first night as the chimes are quiet and you soon ignore it. The cottage is VERY hard to find. Market Street is one way so drive along it VERY slowly (5 mph) until you see a pink hairdresser's sign on the right. The driveway is IMMEDIATELY opposite the pink sign. Look for Chatterpie House. There is no sign at all for the cottage. Knock on the door of Chatterpie House and the owner will give you the keys and show you around.

A great weekend in a lovely village, would definitely recommend!

Wonderful and peaceful setting but very close to the village centre with pubs and a local well stocked Coop , clean and comfortable, friendly host .

TV was a bit hit and miss with the signal but not an issue because we only wanted it on for news updates or last thing at night.

A great base to explore the Cotswolds

Absolutely stunning cottage and setting. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful setting in a beautiful village. The communication we received from the host was very clear. You have everything you need for your stay in the cottage. On our first night after a long day of travelling we just got a meal deal from Sainsbury’s in Oxford and chilled out in the cottage. It was very relaxing. There is a very good co-op in the village that we used a couple of times. There are some very nice circular walks starting from the village. We completed the 5 mile Charlbury to Finstock and back route. At the half way mark there is a very nice pub in Finstock called the plough. There are frequent trains into Oxford taking about 16mins from Charlbury and running late into the night. We were attending a Billy ocean concert at the new theatre Oxford and caught a train back no problem. Charlbury is a very nice village with pubs, shops, hairdressers etc. I would definitely stay again.

Perhaps a smart tv so the guest can login into their own Netflix account etc. the kitchen sink tap needs tightened. These are minor complaints and wouldn’t stop me from staying again.

Lovely location, very warm, everything you need including basics for. Cooking which was so nice- and lovely toiletries. All very much appreciated. Brilliant location and great pubs nearby especially The Bell. And Sky Sports was an added bonus for sports fans!

The property was very cosy, clean and we had everything we needed on arrival. It was amazing to have the facilities of a kitchen/oven to make our meals. All instructions were very clear and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Would recommend this property to anyone.
