A very wholesome stay and would highly recommend

Guy the owner was so welcoming and made our stay extra special. The bar staff were so engaging and really made us feel at home. The food in the pub was outstanding and It was the best meal out we have experienced in a very long time. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyable stay

The adjoining pub was really nice. Guy and his son are really friendly and the food was great. Thursday night steak night offer was very reasonable (two sirloins chips and salad and a bottle of wine for just under £60). Also a very good sticky toffee pudding. A great base for walking or getting to surrounding places.

Nothing of note. Maybe having two towels in the double room (I didn’t ask tbf): one was ok but nice to have two for two ppl.

A Hidden Gem!

Fabulous cabins with everything you need for a lovely stay. Great location and a warm friendly welcome. A 15 minute drive from The Farmer’s Dog Restaurant - but we would have loved to stay longer to try the Plough Inn pub dinner too!

Perfect stay

The cabin was clean , cosy and really well looked after. Guy the owner is a special person . If you choose to stay here you will not regret it . Couldn't fault it at all. We recommend eating in the pub as the atmosphere is great and the food was excellent. Guy also arranged a birthday cake for my partner on arrival . Brilliant

Wonderful place to stay, definitely recommend

Very spacious do a cabin, nice location behind a lovely pub, the staff were lovely and friendly. The cabin itself was very clean and good heating as when we visited it has snowed so outside was very cold! The bathroom is nice and spacious and the kitchen area is good with all the basics equipped and a lovely coffee machine. The location is good for visiting different things nearby such as diddly squat farm and a simple train into oxford city centre from charlbury station (10 min drive away). 10/10 recommend and we would definitely come back again in future!

Fab location, brilliant pub food and great staff in the pub. Comfortable bed.

The lovely cabin was in the perfect spot. Clean and comfortable. Love the fact the pub was on site for excellent food and drink. Staff were attentive.

Our only complaint was the dreadful leek in the bathroom from the shower, a lot of water after using the shower (had to mop up the water to stop it going through to the lounge) which has made the wooden floor swell so much that the toilet door was almost impossible to shut, we had to push it so hard to open or close it and the skirting board is damaged with the water.

Perfect, cosy and calm!

Cosy and very clean! Perfect for our 1 night stay and our little dog loved it :)

Only downside was the pub was closed the night we were staying for a private function so we didn’t have the luxury of enjoying a meal there but aside from that, the stay in the cabins itself was lovely. We had a cosy night in with lots of snacks and Christmas films and it was perfect in the end!! We are already keen to book again!

Honestly there is nothing much you can fault but I do think it would benefit from a indoor mat for shoes in the rainy months as got quite messy with wet shoes.

Absolutely gorgeous and would highly recommend :) The pods were amazing, have everything you need and set in a lovely peaceful village, I slept so well :) Guy and his team were so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, so ate there both nights. It is so lovely there, I'm going back next week for my 4th visit!

Relaxing, peaceful and very homely

It was very clean, quiet and in a really pretty location.

It’s not that I didn’t like the property I did. I would like to say that with a few tiny touches it would be incredible…toilet roll holder, bath sheets not towels and a door mat inside the front door, it didn’t feel right walking on the main floor whilst trying to get your muddy boots off. That’s just my personnel opinion and in no way spoilt the lovely break we had there.

A lovely stay in a lovely area.

Lovely cabins. Really well equipped with everything you could need. Fresh milk on arrival by the lovely guy. Popped into the pub and he took us to the cabin showed us around and was helpful. The cabin was modern and the cleanliness was 10/10. We will be back!

Cozy and peaceful stay

The place is cozy and very clean. The owner is very helpful and makes sure you have everything you need. There’s coffee, shampoo, towels, and all the essentials. The location is amazing, if you’re lucky like I was and the sky is clear, you can see more stars than you could ever imagine.

The only negative point was that when we arrived from a pub we realized the heating (or the radiator) wasn't working. The bathroom heating did work, but it wasn’t enough to warm up the whole place, so it was a bit cold at night. The owner had told us to call if there was any problem, but since it was 1 a.m. we didn’t want to disturb him.

Spotlessly clean, comfy, spacious cabin in the grounds of a lovely pub. Guy the host was welcoming and friendly, as were the other staff at the pub. Superb food at the Plough too, which is a beautiful old pub. Lovely walk around Finstock with the path directly from the pub. A fantastic stay and we’d return for sure

Spacious modern cabin with everything we needed. Great location for seeing the area and the pub itself was really nice with friendly staff, good beer and excellent food. Nice footpath at side for a morning walk with the dog as well!

Wonderful stay in Cotswolds

Had the most wonderful stay in one of the pods. It was beyond expectations. So clean, and perfectly furnished and equipped for the two of us. Just loved it. The icing on the cake was the amazing pub with the most friendliest landlord Guy and his son. The food was amazing. The locals were friendly and chatted with us too. If you are lucky enough to have a booking you will love it. Thank you!

Perfect cabin stay!

Lovely property, the cabin was lovely decorated and the outside space was great for our puppy too. The staff which worked there were super friendly and attentive for anything we needed. The food and drink in the pub was great too!
