About this house rental
Located a short distance from historical Burford, The Gamekeepers Cottage is the perfect retreat for those who want to experience the beauty of the Cotswolds. This 18th century cottage is full of character and has been lovingly restored to provide a luxurious and stylish retreat. With two living rooms and two double bedrooms, there is plenty of space for families or friends to relax and unwind.
The open plan living room on the ground floor is the heart of the home, featuring exposed wooden beams throughout The fully equipped kitchen and dining table make it the perfect spot for preparing and enjoying meals together.
Upstairs, both bedrooms are a good size - one King and one Double. The bathroom, complete with bathtub and shower provide a relaxing haven after a long day`s exploring. The second floor also includes an additional lounge area and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
**Important:**
We are committed to protecting our homes and guests, which is why you will be asked to complete our independent ID verification as part of the booking process. It’s nice and easy - taking less than 5 mins to complete. ***
Please note:
We verify your details before your booking can begin and this must be completed 48 hours prior to your stay. You’ll receive a secure link to our deposit, damage waiver and ID verification platform to complete this step. You’ll be given the choice between paying a fully refundable £300 deposit (with a small, non-refundable £5.00 fee to cover payment processing fees) or purchasing a non-refundable £30 damage waiver, which protects you against accidental damage up to £300 during your stay. Check-in information will only be sent once this is completed.

No smoking allowed.
No pets allowed upstairs.

Please don’t eat or drink in the bedrooms.

My son, mother and I stayed in this lovely cottage. It was nice to have 3 levels. We loved the heated floors and kitchen. Parking was onsite. We visited the spectacular Blenheim Palace Christmas display and enjoyed dinner at two local pubs The Swan and The Fox

This adorable cottage had it all and was exactly as stated on line. The inside is very comfortable and while the cottage is small, the space is open and feels welcoming. We were extra grateful for the easy parking, outdoor patio space and furniture, and comfy linens!
Extra bonus was the food truck one night in the town square and the lovely pub.
Really this property is a must stay if you are looking for a great get away. We were only a few miles from gorgeous countryside walks, a market, and the beauty of the Cotswolds.

We had a fabulous stay at The Gamekeepers cottage! It was beautiful and in a great location for exploring. We would loved to of stayed longer and will come back and stay again when we next visit the Cotswolds. Thanks Freddie for the great communication.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Gamekeeper’s Cottage! As advertised, there is ample space with a bedroom on each of the upper floors, as well as a bonus sitting room upstairs. Stairs are narrow and add to the home’s charm! The Fox restaurant next door is a perfect treat. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
