The cottage was very clean and pretty, it had most equipment I would expect
The cottage is not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties; The parking area for visitors is at the top of the garden, there is a steep step, from a gravelled path to a paved path, with no handrails. The gravel moves under your feet and the path has a semi-circular kerb on it making stepping down unpleasant. The paved path goes under trees and is mossy - this got slippery when wet. I slipped. The path near to cottage becomes very steep and there is nothing to support you except the guttering on the roof beside the path. Inside the cottage there is a 20cm step from kitchen to living room with no grab rails. The stairs are steep, have no bannister and some of them move when stood on. Coming down the stairs was not pleasant. There are no grab rails in the shower which, because it was very clean, was slippery. There is a small step from the bedroom area to the shower area which was difficult at night. The tap in the sink is quite stiff so it is difficult to control carefully. The design of the sink is such that if the tap is turned on too far the water shoots out of the sink and onto the floor. I was soaked. I am over 70, but I am fit enough to walk in excess of 40 miles a week, strong enough to dig my allotment regularly and I found the cottage difficult. These features should be made clear before bookings are made. The drive is very steep and the owner advises drivers of low cars that it may not be suitable. However, if it is not suitable there is very little parking space in Stonesfield and what there is is a fair distance from the cottage. This should also be made clear before bookings are made.

Beautiful property, very well equipped and explained in the details sent over prior. We stayed here for 3 days while we attended the Silverstone Grand Prix only 20 mins away from Bicester park and ride which was perfect. Stunning garden to relax in and enjoy the sun. Can’t recommend enough!🤍
We loved everything can’t give anything negative 🤍

Everything was absolutely amazing. Best place ever. So beautiful, comfy, private, quiet, and a stunning setting. We set off on several picturesque walks right from the house. Fully equipped kitchen, plus washer and dryer came in especially handy. Host was warm, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. As we chatted about our plans she recommended an additional garden and historic sites for us to visit. Each destination was a thoughtful match for our interests, and someplace we would not have discovered otherwise! Can't wait to go back-- we would move in permanently if we could!
Everything here is thoughtfully done, absolutely magical. Even the artwork and furnishings are so carefully chosen and joyful. Look for the rabbit lamp-- you'll love it! There was nothing here we did not like-- all A+ and beyond.
