A comfortable bed

Keys almost impossible to retrieve from ground level behind a bench No welcoming note from owner This is more like a service flat than a 'house'...perfectly sterile environment (not one picture on a wall!) Clean, convenient, but 'cosy', no - and COLD. We booked four nights, but left after just one - a disappointing and costly experience I do seriously question the authenticity of the '10' ratings Left a note for the housekeeper of things which needed to be addressed: broken thermostat, broken toilet seat, coffee pot which doesn't work, freezer needing defrosting, worn out chair covers This property needs a good look, and work on the things which should be considered basic for a rental

Once I found it, it was lovely, comfortable and very well equipped

The weather was awful, so we were cold and damp, the down stairs was warm but didn’t get very warm upstairs

Perfect !

The location was amazing. Right in the center of the town. An easy walk to all amenities and a quick drive to all the surrounding cotswold villages. The bed was SOO comfy and the property was clean & equipped with everything you could possible need. We could arrive at any time thanks to the key box which was very handy as we arrived late. Would recommend and come back!

Finding the property wasn't easy. Maybe a photo of the front of the house could have helped. But it was late and dark when we arrived so that could be why.

Hidden Gem

Lovely hidden gem of a place. Excellent for a couple with its own parking space and hidden just off the main street in Chipping Norton. Clean and welcoming with lots of attention paid to people staying there. Particularly appreciated the 3 different types of milk and crisps, which meant we could have a coffee and snack before heading out. Host has a lovely manner and responds to messages pleasantly and quickly. You get the feeling nothing would be too much bother. Cottage itself is clean and spacious and the bed is incredibly comfortable. Also a fantastic bathroom. If we're in the area again we will stay here and have already recommended it to friends.
