As a solo traveller, this place was exactly what I hoped for!

The place is extremely beautiful and located in the center of Ubud. All the markets, temples, palaces were closeby and even though it was a busy street, inside Savanna it was always peaceful and quiet which I loved.

Looove absolutely everything from the location to the staff and activities set for everyone to meet and have some company and fun.

Bathroom wasn’t clean, the pipes or hoses had rust and mold like things on them.

I loved the beautiful property and the kind and exceptionally helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent, wine was good and I loved my private room. Would definitely recommend without reservations and stay again!

Great location!

Really central location, lovely staff who really try to learn your name and greet you each morning. Pool’s great! Decorated the bed for us as we had just got engaged!

It is not cheap, particularly for a private room, but I think it was still worth it for the location.

Mould in the bathroom, rest is good!

Lovely pool, good food and drinks, nice staff, kept hotel clean.

Firstly, why I would not come back, is the mould. The amount of mould in the bathroom was honestly scary, that would never pass any safety. I had headaches and the smell was so strong. It was a health hazard. The ventilation works only if the light is on so we kept it on 24/7. This hotel is made typically for young hipsters, which we didnt know (my bad I guess?). We had to wear some bands/bracelets that you cant take off during your stay, like you are on a music festival or something. The breakfast was tasty but very small. Our room was next to reception which was 24/7 and it was sometimes loud in the morning that would wake me up. Music till late hours, overall young vibe - some people like it.

Modern, Beautiful Hostel in the middle of Ubud. Best place to relax.

Awesome hostel in the middle of Ubud. Went back for a second time because I liked it so much. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The bed is pretty big. The room key is a bracelet which I loved because you can't lose or forget the key. The workers are super friendly and kind. Special thanks to Eva, Hannah and Nata. The pool and the chill area was perfect. Yoga in the morning and 15min massage is included.

The breakfast is way to small. I had to buy myself a 'second breakfast' everyday just to get by, which is bad if you have breakfast included.

This hotel absolutely exceeded expectations, one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Amazing pool, friendly helpful staff, very modern and nice rooms. The breakfast was great and the food in general is great value. Great cocktails too! The Location is really good too.

Highly recommend

This hostel looks like a resort, it’s beautiful and the room was very clean. The movie night to the pool is such a nice idea and I would recommend also the cocking class, funny and yummy! Shout out also to the staff that was so friendly and helpful! I was here only 4 nights but I would have love to extend!

Mary and her husband. The King and Queen of Savannah

Its a very expensive Hostel! But as well they offer a fantastic service. They care about their guests like Kings. I also meet a very interesting canadian couple. They teached me that there is more in life. They teached me that you can have a girlfriend but still drive to the Staates for a weekend with your friends. This guy i meet has a girlfriend everybody can just dream about it. She was friendly to all of us . Even after she realized that i am a Trump supporter. Mary and Marys future husband , you are both great. Stay the way you are. Because you are great the way you are. And excuse me that i was leaving again the hostel the french way. But for me its hard to say goodbye. As a teacher one year i also left my student that way. I didnt came the last day to say goodbye. Thats strange isnt it!?

That Mary and her husband didnt realize that there isnt even one positive point about Donald!

The bracelet to identify guest, The lack of fridge in bedroom. The serve at breakfast was too little and limited. The high cost for an extra slice of toast, The food lack flavour and little more seasoning. Asking guest for a deposit should be on the website and all policies.

The pictures don’t make justice for how good this hostel is. The pool, breakfast, activities, tours, staff, bar, yoga, comfort, location, everything. They are hyper focused on the guest experience and they nailed it. Best hostel I’ve stayed in, hands down

Amazing place! Great atmosphere! Choose Savanna if you're travelling solo

First of all - the staff!!! The most amazing smiling people, making sure every minute that your wishes are fulfilled, going above and beyond to make you feel at home. The rooms are big and comfy, so is the bed, hot water in the shower, very nice pool with a lot of sitting areas, the location is great and very close to a lot of good restaurants and bars.

Great hostel in Ubud

The location was perfect, in the center of Ubud, ideally to discover the city. The hostel is very beautiful, which makes the stay very enjoyable. I appreciated the fact that breakfast is included and that there are activities every day. The staff was very welcoming and nice. I highly recommand!

It's a detail but the agencement of the room could be better. I would have preferred for lavabo to be in the bathroom instead of in the bedroom, as sometimes I had to wake up early and turn the lights on, and I was a bit worried to wake up my dorm mates.

The Trendy Relaxing getaway in the middle centre of ubud

It was a very beautiful and chill location in the middle of ubud. You won’t even notice you’re in the centre. The pool was perfect and everyone was really nice. The way they designed the place is very peaceful and relaxing aswell. Loved my stay! Sad to be leaving

The facilities are amazing, also the food from the restaurant and so many activities to meet people. But the highlight is the location.

The shower got a bit flooded after a bit and the smell of the room like humidity but it wasn’t that bad.

Everything was exceptional. The staff is amazing, the facilities are immaculate, and the vibe is super chill. By far the most pristine hostel I've ever been!

If I have to be super picky, I would say paying for breakfast once while we had breakfast included in our booking. But we could have noticed earlier, so that's not really their fault.

Everything is good, especially the facilities. They give free massage which is very nice (i really love the therapist, she is reallyyy good). The swimming pool looks comfortable but I didn't try. They have a morning yoga class also. All staff are very nice, I love them.

Everything is super high level! I am a bit critical with reviews usually and like to be fair so host can improve and guests can know where to go, but to be honest, this is the first hostel I have been that I don’t have any negative pointers, it is super high level! Loved it and stayed there twice already.

Hostel Savanna Ubud is a hidden gem amidst the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The staff, especially David, made me feel incredibly welcome from the moment I arrived. The tranquil atmosphere provided a much-needed escape from the city's traffic, and the pool was a refreshing retreat. Free yoga classes, massages, and delicious breakfast added to the charm. Meeting wonderful people and enjoying spotless, cozy bedrooms made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking peace and relaxation in Ubud.

SAVANNA ROCKS!

It was superb! They have designed the whole place in a really smart way, rooms are spacious, so even if you are staying with 3 people you don't feel you are in the way of each other. Everything is always clean, the shower / wc are separated and the basin in the middle of those 2, so everyone can use what they need when they need it. The beds are super comfy and you can have privacy by sliding your curtain :) there is also enough space to store your own things (locker/space for a bag/trolley). David and Iluh are the best, everyday asking you how you feel or making a joke, when staff engages with you, the whole experience enhances by far!

Breakfast is good, but I would add more fruit to the pancakes :)

Great hosts attract great guests 😊

The location in the monkey forrest is an ideal starting point to explore Ubud and Savanna Ubud is a lovely place for solo travellers to get in touch and connect with fellow travellers. I would definitely recommend the Savanna Ubud and always stay here again when coming back to Ubud. The place only recently opened, so everything is new and neatly organized. The dorm rooms are thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, beds are spacious and comfy. You get a morning Yoga class and a free 15min massage per day by the pool. Breakfast and food is really good and the staff is so friendly, helpful and attentive.
