The location is perfect. It's a regular residential neighbourhood, not a touristy one, so you get to experience life as the locals do - shopping (a very good grocery store just across the corner), a baguette from the local baker, local bars and restaurants, etc. This area of Paris is also reasonably quiet and very safe - you can walk around at night without worries. And, obviously, all the main tourist attractions are just a short metro ride away. The price is good (by Paris standards of course), you can get cheaper, but in seedier neighbourhoods. The apartment is fine for a family of 3 or 4, but only if everyone is reasonably fit - definitely not a place for someone with restricted mobility (low beds and steep stairs). There is a washing machine, a dishwasher, a stove, and a microwave - so you can save money by preparing or reheating your own food (and grocery shops in France have a great selection of good quality frozen meals). Fast and strong WiFi.

The apartment is fine during a cooler month, but it could be bad during a summer heatwave - there's no AC (typical for Paris), and the ventilation is not great, especially in the basement room that has no windows at all, only a rather loud standing fan. There are a few small things that need a bit of a handyman's attention - e.g the bathroom door doesn't lock and the faucet is not properly attached to the sink, the detergent tablet dispenser on the dishwasher is broken, etc. The bedrooms are rather spartan - no place to store your clothes other than your suitcase. Also, this is definitely not a place for anyone with reduced mobility or balance issues (the stairs). Not a problem for us, but worth considering if that is something that may concern you.

The place.

The furniture. The pillow and beds are very very old.
