Lovely condo next to European Area

Cute little apartment in a great location very near to a metro stop. The apartment is on the 5th floor, but there is a (tiny) elevator. The apartment had everything I needed for my solo trip for 5 nights. It was convenient to have a small kitchen with a fridge, Nespresso machine and a dinner table. Bed was comfortable to me: not too soft, not too firm. Couch was decently comfortable. TV is big and has smart functionalities, although those are very, very slow. Wifi is fast. The check-in instructions were clear, so it was easy to enter the apartment. The host communicated well about the check-in and check-out process. It was also nice that the host provided a fan, since I stayed here during a heat wave (38 degrees Celsius for days), although it did take some convincing.

Not the cleanest apartment I've ever seen. When I tried to figure out which way the fridge door would open, I grabbed a part that was very gross and sticky and has clearly not been cleaned in a long time. The less hidden parts of the apartment were clean though. The shower is in the bathtub, and the glass wall that prevents splashing is set up in such a way that it is not super easy to get in and especially out of the shower/bathtub. I can imagine this being a problem for someone who is not very sure footed. The host provided four pillows, but all of the same type and in the same worn out state. It would have been nicer to have a variety of types to choose from. It was strange that the host initially started a discussion with me about wether I actually needed a fan, when an exceptional heatwave was predicted exactly for the days that I was going to be staying at the apartment. After my stay, the host thanked me for leaving the apartment in a good state, but also mentioned that he hoped I enjoyed the fan, because it was the last in the store and he could not get one for himself. Very strange decision to try and guilt trip your guest.

The location is absolutely perfect, making it an excellent base if you need to be near the European Parliament. The host was very helpful, ensuring a smooth experience overall. The apartment itself is simple yet highly functional, equipped with everything one might need. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touch of a small selection of dry food items like rice and linseed, along with a variety of spices for those who enjoy cooking. A coffee machine, tea kettle, and a selection of coffee and tea were also provided, adding to the convenience. Additionally, they offer a high-quality hairdryer and a proper iron with an ironing board, both of which I used —they worked perfectly. The bathroom, though maybe slightly outdated (but this is no problem at all), was spotless, with a nice selection of useful toiletries in case of any forgotten essentials. The apartment itself is incredibly bright, featuring large beautiful windows and a spacious table, in theory making it an ideal spot for working or organizing Zoom calls. While retrieving the keys was a bit tricky due to the lockbox’s placement, I was fortunate to receive help from a friendly staff member who was cleaning the premises, and together we managed (the owner was anyway reachable and close by should we not have managed)

The only major downside (for me) —and the reason I did not give a full score—was the poor internet connection. Unfortunately, I needed to work in the evening to prepare for a morning appointment, but the WiFi was far too slow and unreliable for professional use. Despite trying to restart the router, the connection remained inadequate, forcing me to rely on my phone’s hotspot, which, was still not ideal for a seamless work experience. Overall, this is a wonderful apartment with an unbeatable location, perfect for travelers looking for functionality and comfort. However, if strong internet is essential, it may not be the best fit unless the issue gets resolved. Would definitely recommend for leisure stays or those who don’t require a stable internet connection for work!
