Waiting for the hot water to come

I used to live nearby, and I loved it, so the location was perfect for me. Getting to a bus that takes you to either the very center (38) or the European Institutions (60) is only a few minutes' walk. A Carrefour Express is round the corner, and a Night Shop is close. The bed was very comfortable. Even though the description hints at a "shared bathroom," the bathroom actually was in the very apartment and was not shared.

Hot water was an issue. The boiler might have been faulty but after 1 minute of having hot water the water temperature dropped for another minute, then back to normal again and so on. This taught me to take a shower in 55 seconds :-) (Addendum, June 2025: I stayed in the apartment again, and indeed, the hot water problem was solved.)

If you have hot water, you have it all (plus a mobile A/C)

This was my second time here. After my first stay I complained about the availability of hot water in the bathroom, mentioning my world record of 55 seconds for taking a full shower. (This was how long hot water lasted then.) By now (June 2025) the problem has been eliminated. Even though the water boiler looks to be the same, it must have been serviced, because hot water is not an issue any more. Wow. Everything else was pretty decent before as well, the neighborhood is more than fine, the bed is high class, and the whole apartment was reasonably clean. Not squeaky clean, but acceptable. (Fingerprints on the windows, some dust on top of the cupboards, these minor things, nothing serious.) I liked that the owner/service provider was easy to communicate with. A huge extra bonus for the mobile air conditioner that had been installed before my arrival. It was useful on summer days with a maximum temperature of 35 degrees. (Very unusual in Brussels in the past, that's why no A/C is installed in the majority of apartments.)

Now that the hot water problem seems to be solved, there is nothing much to criticize. The curtains cannot completely darken the room early in the morning, and there is always some noise from outside, simply because this is a busy street. There are shops in the buildings around, so the noise is inevitable. But nothing serious, really.

Overall, the flat is very cosy and everything is good, but the shower room is cold and not very cosy

Cosy, great bed, all clean. Lots of tea bags in the kitchen. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Very responsive host!

It is very cold in the toilet because the window does not close. At one point the heating went out, but the host brought a heater, for which I am very grateful.

La tringle des rideaux s'est cassé en tirant simplement les rideaux, la tringle de la douche est tombée aussi. La fenêtre de la salle de bain était fermée avec un collant. L'appartement était très sale. Le caches des prises électriques défaites. très peu de vaisselle à disposition. Une cour intérieur très sale. Pas de câble à la télévision. Rien d'un appartement charmant comme l'intitulé l'indique, c'est un mensonge!

Gute Unterkunft mit ein paar Makeln

Die Lge der Wohnung war sehr gut. Die nächste Tramstation war maximal 10 min. entfernt. Die Wohnung war sehr stylisch eingerichtet und das Bett war sehr bequem. Es gab eine große Bettdecke für beide Personen. Obwohl die Küche schon etwas älter war, war diese sehr gut ausgestattet.

Fenster und Tür im Bad ließen sich nicht schließen, was besonders nacht ein unsicheres Gefühl hinterließ, da das Einsteigen in die Wohnung pber ein Vordach direkt vor dem Badezimmer sehr einfach möglich gewesen wäre. Generl war das bad renovierungsbedürftiges.
