Villa Libelle was built in 1915 in the Baltic Sea resort of Binz and purchased by Walter Holtz in 1935. From then on, this gem was operated as a bed-and-breakfast, where breakfast cost 0.50 Reichsmark at the time. Unfortunately, this cozy “vacation” atmosphere lasted only until 1944, as the villa then served as housing for long-term tenants until it was finally expropriated in 1948.
In 2005 and 2006, Villa Libelle underwent extensive renovation and restoration. It uniquely embodies the architectural style of the Binz spa resorts. All the elements that define this architectural style can be found here in a single building. Villa Libelle is nestled in the lush green spa gardens and surrounded by lovingly restored historic villas. In just three minutes, you can reach the fine-sand Baltic Sea beach of Binz Bay, and in two minutes, the shopping district located in the pedestrian zone.
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and check-out from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
