Estate Houses at Carberry Tower

This was a great place for our team stay in Edinburgh - 4 bedrooms and bathrooms over the 2 floors. Plenty of space and items. Felt like our own modern castle. Lovely quiet area behind a real castle.

No clothes dryer. Issues with room heat (although no needed this visit), towel warmer leaked - maintenance promptly attended but warmer failed to work.

The setting was gorgeous. The grounds of the hotel stunning and the area fabulous.

Just such small things really! No tea towel in the kitchen was a bit frustrating but we were so busy we didn’t go and ask for one! A few more champagne flutes would have been nice and serving dishes but like I said such small things really!

We really loved how accommodating Lynn, Kath and Rachael were and the rest of the staff. The food was excellent and we were a group of 16 with a minibus and we were all treated extremely well. We will be back again

The property was spacious and warm.

The property was dirty, not sure if it had been cleaned. We had to ask for a hoover and cleaning products. The carpets were dirty. There was a lot of thick dust and debris, hairs on the bathroom floor and in the shower cubicles. All the windows were filthy, full of cobwebs, and hand prints. The door ways were dirty with leaves and debris. The patio and the furniture was filthy. I ended up cleaning it myself. The fridge was dirty, old food stuck to the walls and the drain plug was full of black gunk. Beds were clean but, uncomfortable. No welcome pack, apart from some fairy liquid in a sauce bottle and 1 tea towel! Very disappointed indeed.
