Location was great — very convenient to reach the lake, downtown Annecy and the bus/train station. Although located on a busy street, there was little street noise with the windows closed. The apartment is a good size, has a nice kitchen, was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The host was very responsive when we contacted him.

The property was advertised as having two en-suite bedrooms but in fact only one was en-suite; for the other you had to go out into the hallway to access the toilet (located in a cramped closet-type space) and small sink area. Only the shower and a tiny sink were within the bedroom. Providing more than one set of towels per person (and in the kitchen), extra toilet paper and a hairdryer for each bathroom (there was only one) would have made our stay more comfortable. The living area had a nice couch but the upholstered chairs were stained and uncomfortable. A key issue was that access to the building and apartment doors was overly complicated and we required assistance from the host twice during our stay.

The furnishings were very nice- better than any rental property that I’ve stayed in . This location is excellent for our needs. Close to old town, restaurants and shops, and many water activities. The recently installed air conditioning was a big bonus. It was very efficient and considering the very high temps in late June, a great amenity to have.

The initial entry process was difficult, flawed and unwelcoming so our stay got off to a rough start .Luckily, a kind neighbor helped us gain access to the property. On the up side, this property is VERY safe, once you get in.

The apartment was very well located for everything, shops , old town , bus and railway station Easy to walk to It was well equipped and comfortable

Would have been nice to have a couple of seats to sit on the balcony
