The Poplars, Pool Access Getaway

The unit was clean and comfortable. We loved the ground floor location which meant the kids could play out in the grass area but we could still keep an eye on them from inside. It was walking distance to the beach and shops, we didn’t use the car at all. We would stay again.

Convenient location, clean, peaceful

Nothing, it was all fine

The fridge didn't work properly and we had brought a lot of meat between the four of us. However, communication with the owners was very positive and they reimbursed us $50 for the inconvenience of buying ice and borrowing an esky to keep the meat for the rest of our stay. They were very apologetic and obliging. I would recommend purely based on the nice nature of the owners. The King size bed was very comfortable, and the bunk beds too. The two couches were great for four adult guests. There were extra fold out chairs in the wardrobe if needed and the outdoor chairs were handy for the morning sun. There were ample supplies, and the BBQ was a real bonus.

Unfortunately, there is no view at all from this groundfloor apartment, which was disappointing. All the walkers-by among those living in the complex walk past the sliding doors, although at night time the double set of blinds was very helpful. There were young people having a rowdy stay a few units away that went till after 3am, so our first night for a quiet getaway was ruined by this, thankfully we had earplugs, and we really needed them, though we still got woken up.

The unit was very clean and tidy. It has been thoughtfully renovated and the décor and furniture is new. The hosts have been very thoughtful in the presentation of the unit and its amenities. Cannot fault this place as it is also an easy walk to the Marina, restaurants and beach. There is also a secured carpark. It is value for money and I would not hesitate in coming back! Thankyou to the hosts for the complimentary gift!
