The Poplars, 6,36 Magnus Street - Unit with fabulous views and a complex pool

The view was quite good and the apartment was a good size. The complex overall was quiet as there didn't appear to be many people staying there. Nelson Bay had a variety of restaurants to choose from and there was a shopping centre not too far away to occupy you when the weather wasn't the best

The 4 flights of stairs were a bit taxing with luggage for us. The apartment had a very musty smell which was an issue, the carpet was quite stained and the lounge setting was old. The kitchen cooktop was in a poor condition even though it did work. The washer, dryer and hot water system were very noisy. We were quite annoyed to receive a note pushed under our door to tell us that using the washer and dryer along with the hot water should be limited because of noise to other apartments. We feel that this issue should be brought up with the owner of the apartment so that they take responsibility for replacing or fixing the problem.

Beautiful location gorgeous view a short stroll to beach Marina shop's and restaurant's.

The place definitely needs air conditioning Also needs internet and wi-fi Dryer needs a new knob - you don’t know how long it’s on for and very hard to turn without a knob The pool area definitely needs some shade an chairs that aren’t metal
