Location, price, comfort and eventually heating.
The clean after the previous renter failed to remove wet towels from the bathroom. Several cups still showed coffeeþ stains. Initially had boiler problems which were resolved over the phone. The boiler however did generate an error.

could only park nearby which was generally fine except when there was heavy rain especially when taking luggage/groceries in/out.

I took my own food for meals. Used the main oven and microwave. Oven needs a clean. I would have done so if I had found the cleaning stuff. A microwave dish to steam the vegetables would have been good. There was no jug that I could find and it was only after I had used the oven that I found a large dish for the oven. But it was adequate for my two nights. The shower was much better than I had hoped. Very good wardrobe storage and bedside cabinet. Settee was comfortable.
Cottage felt cold and took quite a while to heat up and asked Kim for help on the second night as the heating kicked off after an hour. The electric fire in the lounge does not work or was turned off so could not be used. I quite understand the reason for keeping costs down. When I phoned Kim, the heating was put on immediately so I was much happier and the cottage warmed up so warm to get to bed. Bed quite low but several have said the same.
