Room was perfectly serviceable and as described.

Check in. Feedback given and taken on board about this. Details say you will be met, however after ringing the bell for some time, at the time we said we would arrive, no answer. Had to contact via the app for check in details plus wifi code whilst outside. Did not meet the host.

Our stay at Camellia Cottage - Courtyard Room

The room was very cosy and also nicely hidden from the rest of the property, which made it feel like we were in our own little home. The owners were also very welcoming, which made the arrival better for us. The room as well as the area which it is in is very neat and clean. There is an Engine Garage, and small shopping centre just 1,5km away from the venue, which ended up being our main hub for snacks and food. Another bonus is the hospital that is just as close to the venue. So overall it is located in a nice and central area in Cape Town.

It would've been nice to have access to a microwave or fridge, but we managed to work around that and weren't that bothered with it.

One of the best so far (your bedding is the best)

It was nice and very cozy, and Jo is very friendly and welcoming as well as helpful. It was also very clean. I am not usually someone who uses guesthouse bedding. I always travel with my own. However, Their sheets, pillow and duvet material was so soft and comfy that I slept like a baby until the early morning dreams, but after praying I was able to pull the duvet back up and fell asleep once more. I am not always a huge fan of dogs, but I enjoyed the welcome that I got from their dogs and they made me feel better as I was feeling down yesterday. I think the beautiful female dog was a bit sad that I was leaving this morning as she just sat and looked at me.I can't believe I have such fond memories about dogs right now *smiles* I must say their towels also look super clean and the quality of their towels is top notch.

I wish that there was a microwave in the room. I ate my supper cold.

Not a good experience as I had to pay extra for coming late to check in.

Did not like the fact that we had to pay an R200 on late arrival and I told the host . He was not having it any other way . So I was charged 900 for a tiny room where as I could have gone with another place with friendly host .

Location is really good, safe neighbourhood.

The windows don't have curtains, even though they are opaque, there's a lot of light in the morning. There was a water cut and communication and management was poor.

Home apartment, not guest house

The space seems fairly modern. I also liked the fact that Netflix was already loaded and ready to go. The space was clean and tidy.

Bed was very uncomfortable, which actually hurt my back. Pillows felt like they came from the 1900s. Space was very small, almost impossible to move around while having luggage (and if you're larger than the average human). Checking in was a hassle and the one host wasn't very accommodating at all, giving a list of rules which are not in the listing prior to making the booking. Also didn't like the fact that wifi was cut off 2min prior to the designated check out time which made it hard for me to communicate with my uber driver.
