Comfy and Clean

We loved everything about our stay at "artroom" The facilities were well thought out. The art hanging about is provoking. We walked easily into town. The beds and pillows were comfy. Denise is very helpful and a pleasant .

Our first facility sharing accommodation

The location is great, in a leafy and quite suburb. It is in walking distance to the old town centre yet without the bother of flocks of tourists all day long. It is also just one minute away from tram #12, which runs right through the centre of the old town and is most frequent. Denise is a very nice and kind host, with welcoming fruits by the stairs and chilled beer and water in the fridge for guests. We drove over to Bern and parking was a big concern. Denise was very kind to allow us to park in her car port at the property (since we are not using it for two days). We may always appreciate independent kitchen and bathroom, but the sharing experience has been of no issue but pleasant one with two very nice co-lodgers. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The bedrooms are at two levels in the aloft. For elderly guest having difficulty to climb up stairs, you may want to book room 1. It has been a great stay, and big thanks to Denise.

Lovely room in a two-bedroom maisonette apartment.

Really lovely place, clean and well equipped, close to the campus of the local school. Check-in is easy and the host communicates well. I was only there for a short time, but would come back if I had to find a place in Bern again.

When walking through the school campus to the place, the entrance is hard to find in the dark. You'll have to find a little unlit woodchip path and a gap in the hedge. Google maps is confusing, as it shows a connecting street where there isn't one. The description for this could have been better.

Wonderful house, wonderful hosts!

Denise was an excellent host and very fun to talk to. The house and garden are very well decorated and come together to create a very nice atmosphere very close to the city centre. I would absolutely stay here again whenever I come back to Bern!

Great place, great location, great host.

Great location. Quiet, upscale residential neighborhood close to historic center. Very nice and incredibly clean rooms exquisitely decorated featuring Denise’s art, which I enjoyed as much as, or more than, the Klee museum. The property has a beautiful garden, and Denise was a great host.

Excellent apartment, highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the loft which was fabulous with everything you would need, 2 large bedrooms with comfortable beds. Location is great, 20 min walk or just a 2 or 3 stops on the tram which is free with your guest pass. Denise, the host is so friendly and helpful. Did take pictures but they didn't do the apartment justice hence not put them on.

The only slight downside was no air conditioning so we had to have the windows open at night so some noise early mornings BUT we did go in the middle of a freak heatwave of 35 degrees!

Loft Lodging in Beautiful Bern

Convenient access to downtown and the Aare River from this neighborhood on the hill. Hosts were most gracious and even allowed usage of two bikes. Efficient and well equipped kitchen.

The adjacent school is a bit noisy during daylight hours. The kitchen, living room, and small balcony are shared between 2 rooms. Our neighbors were polite and compatible with sharing our kitchen and patio time.

Unique and comfortable

Denise was friendly and welcoming. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, while it is only one stop away from downtown. Denise arranged the free online bus ticket which made the going around super easy.

Excellent home stay in walking distance of Bern city. Would definitely stay here again! The owner is very hospitable, helpful and friendly! I was even allowed to park my classic car in her garden! 👍😎

Comfy charming bnb in the heart of Bern

Unique quaint space in the heart of Bern. Public transport is about 800 meters (.5 mile from the location) or it’s a beautiful mile stroll/bike into the old town. I stayed in the loft space and I’m on my way to Amsterdam so it felt like I was getting practice on the way their lol Cute little kitchen, bathroom, living room and a reading nook in the loft space with the comfiest chair, had an awesome sleep in a comfy bed. Then finished off my stay by having an espresso In the cute kitchen before departing.

I liked everything about this property. The only confusing thing is the entrance is in the back (at least from an American perspective, lol) but that may also be normal Swiss setup and that that is ok.

Quaint and Cosy

Owner was very friendly, and even provided some fruits and bottled water for guests to take. As it was raining when we arrived, umbrellas for loan when you go out are also provided

We stayed in the loft which was at the tpo floor. The stairs are very narrow for even 1 pax, so it was hard to haul our luggages up. Not recommended for people with luggages

I had a wonderful experience at this accommodation! The owner's responsiveness and helpfulness were outstanding. Every detail, from easy access to the place to a seamless key handover, was well-thought-out. The host even accommodated my early check-in request with a warm welcome. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean and tastefully furnished. The thoughtful touch of snacks and a variety of beverages made it feel like a home away from home. La chambre était conforme à l'annonce. Comme prévu, la salle d’eau, les toilettes et la cuisine étaient partagées avec les occupants de l'autre chambre. Nous n'avons côtoyé à cette occasion que des gens sympathiques et très respectueux (Bern n'est pas un haut lieu du tourisme de masse), donc l'expérience était agréable, mais ne conviendrait pas aux allergiques à la collocation. Le logement est décoré avec goût, une maison d'artiste. Le quartier est cossu et très calme, mais vivant et tout proche du vieux centre-ville. Les hôtes sont formidables, avec un délicieux sens de l'accueil : nous étions au petits soins !

Wir wurden von der Vermieterin sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Sie war sehr hilfsbereit.Die Lage war ruhig und der Nahverkehr dicht bei.Wir waren 2 Freundinnen und hatten das komplette Loft gebucht, so dass jeder ein eigenes Schlafzimmer hatte.

Ich fühlte mich sehr sicher, gemütlich und bequem, wie nach Hause… die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und sehr gut eingerichtet. und sehr ruhig. eine Wohnung mit Seele einfach und sehr schön und in einer wunderbaren Lage… ich bin sehr froh, das ich dabei war und ich glaube, ich hätte keine bessere Unterkunft finden können.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden das Loft wieder buchen!

Die ruhige Lage, die schöne alte Villa mit großem Garten, die geräumige Wohnung mit zwei abgetrennten Schlafzimmern, der kleine Balkon mit Gartenblick! Die Küche war gut ausgestattet, alles war sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und gab nützliche praktische Tipps.

Lediglich die Beleuchtung im unteren Schlafzimmer und Wohnzimmer war etwas umständlich zu bedienen. Sonst haben wir absolut nichts zu bemängeln.

Es una casa muy bonita situada cerca al parque de osos y con buena comunicación con el centro, estaba limpia, la anfitriona fue muy amable todo el tiempo, pude hacer check in incluso antes de la hora, además tiene un jardín privado para disfrutar y queda en una zona tranquila sin ruido en la noche.

Hatten das Lofft gebucht.Sehr schöne Unterkunft.Gemütlich und top ausgestattet.Balkon mit Blick auf die Berge( bei klarem Wetter)Bus hält quasi direkt vor der Tür, sodass man schnell in der sehr schönen Altstadt ist. Wir waren im Laufe der Frauen- Fußball EM in Bern, und hatten von der Unterkunft aus super Anbindung zum ÖPNV. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett, informiert einen vor Anreise über alles nötige und beantwortet vor Ort etwaige Fragen.

Das Wunderschöne Haus mit dem tollen Garten, die künstlerisch geschmackvolle Einrichtung, die helle gemütliche Loftwohnung, die herausragende Lage, das sehr bequeme Bett, die Ruhe, der Balkon, die gut ausgestattete Küche und vor allem die freundliche sehr hilfsbereite Vermieterin. Der Loft hat zwei grosszügige Zimmer mit bequemen Doppelbetten und Schreibtisch die sich eine Küche ein modernes Bad und ein Wohnzimmer und Balkon teilen. Man fühlt sich gleich wie in einem schönen Zuhause.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft im Haus im Grünen. Die Sonnen- und Schattenplätze im Garten sind einladend. Viel Platz in der liebevoll ausgestatteten Wohnung. Ein kleiner Balkon mit Blick auf den Garten, im Hintergrund die Berge. Mit dem Bus (Gratistageskarte) ist man schnell im Zentrum. Zu Fuß ist es ein Spaziergang mit herrlichem Blick auf Bern. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, vielen Dank!

Die Zimmer sind in den oberen Etagen, das ist ok, aber nicht für jeden praktisch.
