An expectional stay :)

Entering the apartment was very easy. We received an email with very clear instructions explaining everything step by step, and it only took us about two minutes to get inside. It was a perfect holiday in every way. This was the best place I’ve ever rented on Booking. Communication was incredibly fast; no matter what I wrote, they always got back to me within an hour at the latest. I asked a lot of questions, and they answered all of them patiently and kindly, without ever getting tired of helping. Since our flight arrived early, we asked for an early check-in, and they kindly allowed us to enter the apartment 2–3 hours earlier. The facilities of the apartment were excellent in every sense. The place was very spacious, bright, and warm. The neighborhood was very quiet, safe, and pleasant. And the view was absolutely stunning. Watching that view both in the morning and in the evening was a real pleasure; if only we had more time, we would have loved to stay one more day just for that view. The apartment was very close to all the historical sights and main attractions of the city. We walked everywhere in at most 15 minutes, and it was never tiring at all. Overall, this was a stay I can highly recommend in every way. Thank you very, very much again for everything.

A gem of an apartment.

The apartment was clean and exceptionally well presented. It had everything needed to have a relaxing stay in Ghent. Only 15 minutes walk from the centre although there are tram stops nearby. Communications from the owner are precise and timely. There is parking available but if you have a larger car it is difficult to get in. Instructions on parking elsewhere are also provided if required.

Occasionally the lift was problematic.

A relaxing and comfortable apartment.

The location was quiet and had a good outlook from the living room. It was a modest walk into the center of Ghent but the apartment was also close to a tram stop if you wanted to cave time. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Parking might be an issue, there is limited parking nearby but there is some free parking near the watersport lake and if you park there I recommend taking a short cut through the car park of the large supermarket there. That is about 10 minutes walk from the apartment. It is an excellent supermarket as well.

The stairs are very narrow and spiral. It is possible to walk up and down them but they are not easy and I would not recommend for luggage or children. There is a lift but it is tiny, barely room for a baby buggy. It wasn't a problem for us, but it might present problems, so be aware.

A very comfortable stay in a beautiful riverside apartment a short distance from the lovely , historic city of Ghent .

The apartment is extremely spacious in all respects for 4 people and has stunning views over the river from the lounge . Big well equipped kitchen and the beds were very comfortable . We had everything we needed . Caroline kept in touch and check in was very easy with a drop box key . I received the code in good time . She had also provided us with some information which was helpful . The location is very good with a bakery and supermarket and the area is nice, quiet and safe . There is a tram but it only took us 15-20 minutes to walk into the centre . Restaurants on the way .

Great apartment - terrible check-in

The apartment is recently renovated and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The apartment is large and prices plenty of space for 4 x adults

The check in process was a bit annoying - self check and standing at the entrance to the building waiting for host to get back to us with codes to get into the building. Once inside I was stuck in the lift and could not stop at level 3. Had to walk all luggage up to flights of spiral staircase. The process of getting in should have been simple starting with providing key codes a few hours before check in. Asked if we could have the key codes earlier in the day and told we had to wait until the room was cleaned- owner was overseas ! Car park is not suitable for most cars so we had to park in Watersportbaan and walk 1.5kns with suitcases. If they can get check-in fixed the modern and well equipped apartment would be a real winner

A top class city apartment with helpful hosts.

Excellent apartment; we felt immediately at home. It was immaculate, roomy and flooded with light- with everything you needed. We utilised the hosts suggestion for a restaurant. The lift is useful for access to the apartment. We found the apartment location easily and parked outside while we unpacked. Communication with the host was top class. We thoroughly recommend Ghent by the water and would like to stay again if we return to beautiful Ghent.

Parking in the area was tricky. A tourist map of Ghent would help with initial orientation, plus an indication of which tram goes to the main square and where the nearest supermarket is.

Great holiday apartment in wonderful and quiet location

Gorgeous apartment in great location. Spacious rooms. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable and relaxing dining and lounge room. All in all a great apartment. We will definitely consider coming back.

If possible, a washing machine and microwave would be a great addition, especially with small children. Easy to warm up dishes/bottles and to wash clothes without having to leave the house to look for a laundromat. Shower drain a little on the slow side

Modern, clean and spacious with great view of the canal.

Very clean and spacious. Felt like we had plenty of room to spread out. So clean and bright! Nice Kitchen well equipped. Loved looking out the big front window watching the bike traffic. Even enjoyed the back deck a little

Pillows were not great and could have been more coffee. Didn't realize that there was plenty of extra toilet paper hidden away until we bought more. Elevator was a little tricky. Sometimes it wouldn't work but might have been a weight issue.

Très jolie vue sur canal - grand appartement au calme

L'emplacement, très facile à pied (peut-être moins en voiture). Le grand espace et l'appartement très fonctionnel. La propreté impeccable ! La réactivité de l'hôte par message.

Superbe appartement moderne, très bien équipé et très bien situé (à 50 mètres du tram). Très calme, au troisième étage avec ascenseur, avec une belle vue sur un canal.

Puur genieten

Gemakkelijk inchecken met sleutelkluisje. Eenmaal boven troffen we (2 vriendinnen) een mooi schoon appartement. Allebei een eigen slaapkamer met goede bedden (kussens wel wat hoog/hard) Badkamer met ruime lekkere douche en voorzien van voldoende handdoeken en föhn. Ook de keuken met vaatwasser was van alle gemakken voorzien. Ruime living met grote eettafel. Tv met chromecast dus met eigen inlog de meest bekenden apps te gebruiken (Netflix, Prime etc.) Afstand tor centrum ongeveer 15 min lopen.

Aan het appartement eigenlijk niks. Alleen inrit parkeergarage nogal smal.

Sehr schöne Wohnung, die gut gelegen ist

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut und sehr neu ausgestattet. Das Wohnzimmer hat ein tolles großes Fenster mit Blick auf den kleinen Kanal und einer Fensterbank zum darauf sitzen. Es gibt eigentlich alles. Die Schlafzimmer sind sehr ruhig, man sehr schnell in der Innenstadt.

Uns hat tatsächlich alles an der Wohnung gefallen.

Un logement superbe, spacieux et agréable. Il y a un ascenseur pour les poussettes. Le vrai lit pour les bébés. Le salon c’est une pépite - la vue sur le canal avec ses grandes fenêtres été très agréable ! L’emplacement est top - un peu loin des milliers de touristes mais bien proche au centre.

Mooi en schoon en alles tip top in orde. . Heerlijke bedden. Gezellige inrichting en gelegen tussen mooie historische centrum en station St Pieters. Op derde verdieping maar kleine lift aanwezig.

Ghent - am Tag eine Stadtbesichtigung, am Abend in einen der unzähligen Lokale Essen und Bierspezialitäten genießen.

Es war alles perfekt. Die Ausstattung, die Küche, das Bad, die Schlafzimmer, einfach Alles. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermieterin. Die Lage war für uns auch genial. Sehr ruhig. Das Zentrum in wenigen Gehminuten (15-20) entlang des Coupure (Fluss) erreichbar. Lokal, und Frühstückslokale in naher Umgebung. Auch konnten wir einen Parkplatz mieten. Allerdings ist der eher für kleine Autos und gute AutofahrerInnen :-)

Auch wenn man es kritisch betrachten würde, es gab für uns keinen einzig negativen Punkt.
