Beautiful, luxurious apartment in the heart of Ghent—still with a few minor drawbacks.

A very beautiful apartment in the heart of Ghent. Very beautiful and spacious rooms that are tastefully furnished and decorated. You can reach the apartment directly by elevator or stairs. Upon entering, you find yourself in the spacious kitchen and dining room. The modern, elegant kitchen is equipped with high-quality appliances. Adjacent to the kitchen is a small balcony where you can enjoy a cup of coffee – a Nespresso machine with capsules is provided. Discreetly located to the side are the guest toilet and the washing machine and dryer. Then you move into the living room, which is open to the dining room and has a spacious seating area. From there, you enter the separate bedroom with a very large wardrobe, where you can stay for a week or longer. The bedroom has a comfortable large double bed. Adjacent to the bedroom is the en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, two sinks, and a large mirror. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap are all provided. A really great apartment, I will stay here again the next time I am in Ghent!

Unfortunately, there are a few points to criticize. The host himself wrote “luxury apartment” in Ghent. Sorry, but given the price, the following points do not fit into the overall picture of this beautiful apartment: 1. The front door is a full glass door with no privacy screen. 2. Two curtains were partially torn down. 3. There is no bedside table, at least one would be okay. 4. The mirror light in the bathroom is not a mirror light, it shines upwards. I had to shave with my cell phone flashlight. 5. With an open shower that is only about 120 cm deep, a drain guard or door is mandatory. 6. Soundproof windows on the street side, where the bedroom is also located, would allow for a good night's sleep. 7. Unfortunately, the smell of fried food from the snack bar downstairs also drifts into the apartment. 8. There is no shelf for shower accessories in the shower.

Mosquitoes. Maybe Ghent is full of them? Made nights very difficult! Airless even with open doors. Bedding too hot for the weather. Even having removed the duvet. No bread knife

Great location for exploring Gent, very spacious, and clean and the host was very helpful.

The kitchen is well equipped and there is a small coffee and pastry shop just across the street.

Higher quality bedding would be a big improvement. There were a few small details that would make the stay even better: a bottle of hand soap next to the bathroom sink, nightstands next to the bed, a bench or chair in the bedroom, someplace in the shower (besides the floor) to place shampoo and body soap.

Superb location. Historical sites all within easy reach. Apartment is spacious. Some very good restaurants on the door step.

Entry to the flat (first floor landing) is off putting. The apartment suffers from the odour coming from restaurant below (solved this with scented candles) At night there was a lot of noise coming from the street until the early hours.

Excellent apartment that feels like home, perfect for a family with infants or toddlers

- Very spacious home, full of light and airy, with high ceilings and tall windows (what a treat), fully equipped while being minimal, so that a family of guests or group of friends can make it their own home for a while. - Warm (controllable heating) and comfortable, with double glazed windows. - Excellent location next to many shops and restaurants, as well as transport. Also, just a few steps far from the very touristic part of Ghent. - Super friendly and helpful hosts, helped us with our questions.

- If you’re a light sleeper, you might hear the extra cheerful party owls who pass by in the late night hours on Fridays or Saturdays, but that’s life in the city center. Double glazed windows help for sure!

Fantastic stay in Gent

All was explained by email. Keys on the wall in a box. Other keys in the apartment. Apartment is a beautiful, sunny a spacious directly in the centre of Gent. Well equipped. Parking is 200m away.

Everything was fine. In the summer one has to put up with a certain amount of mosquitos coming from the river nearby.

Great location, spacious, clean and comfortable! We loved all of the information on restaurants, parking etc. Overall it was a fantastic place to stay for the weekend!

We just wish we would have had hot water in the mornings for more than one shower.

The apartment has been newly renovated and is conveniently located very close to the main sights of Ghent. It is spacious and very comfortable. The hosts were very responsive and took great care of us.

The street-side windows could be better insulated to impede noise from the street. But in the center of the city, it is tough to block out all unwanted sounds.
