disappointed

it is in a good location, easy to get to the city centre. you got your own room equip with facilities. my light stopped working and got a lamp, which i did get offered a replacement room which im grateful

room was dirty. when i left i did leave my rubbish on top of the cupboard i didnt leave any of it lying around as it was only a small bin. person who owned the hotel sat with his door open 24/7, i got my friends to meet me to go to the toilet as i felt uncomfortable. the shower wasnt working, only one toilet door was unlocked to use. i have stayed here before it was fine but this trip i felt very uncomfortable staying here. do not recommend for women who are staying here alone, luckily i had my friends who could come and see me.

Overall would not stay again, left a night early and booked another stay somewhere else.

The bed was comfortable.

The property was not as described in the booking as it was describe as a private apartment when in fact it was a room in a shared accommodation with no private bathroom. The washing facilities were unclean as were the kitchen facilities with no way to prepare food for myself.

They had the audacity not to change the sheets. The cleaner who lives there was making noise on his phone could barely sleep. When I complained about my sheets the bathrooms were actually cleaned

Terrible Stay - Unsafe and Dirty

The location in general is good, the area the property is within is awful and not safe.

I didn't like the area the property was in, terrible industrial estate south of China town. The front door is a tatty wood panel, thankfully it wasn't kicked in. Once in, there is a dirty kitchen area filled with who god knows whose clean or dirty laundry. My room thankfully was able to be locked, but once in I found my duvet was just simply piled on a chair within the centre of the room. The single bed had a dirty mattress topper. The bathrooms were adequate, but too much mold which needs removing needs attention. I wasn't given any towels and had to take some which were stained from the kitchen, I think they were clean, but old ones... The worst issue is it simply isn't safe, I had someone try to open my door late in the night whilst I was in bed, you just don't know who is in the communal area which is very unnerving, there were rude people talking loudly in the communal area and commotion outside at 4am in the streets, and finding eaten, dirty takeaway food packages just left on the communal table in the morning was nice either. There is no one to be there reception wise to maintain security. There is a risk here and unless you can look after yourself, I would advise strongly you pay extra for a hotel that is safe. I won't be doing anything like this again.

Grubby apartment where you can hear everyone else in the property

More like ‘ok’ apartments rather than ‘pleasant’ apartments.

Close to city centre. Daily code changes on the door lock. Good value for money.

No towel provided. Seemed a little rushed in completion before being posted on booking.com. Showers looked like they weren’t cleaned as often as they should have been. No parking provided.

You get what you pay for, wouldn’t return.

I liked the location and the on street parking.

When I got there, the code on the door didn’t work. I was then told the wrong room number. In fact, I wasn’t even told a room number, so if the door would of worked and I didn’t ring that number I wouldn’t have known where to go. The guy on the phone told me to go to Room 4, I did- someone was in there, sorry to that person. I was obviously told to go to a different room. It was really loud at night, lots of banging around. Walls are super thin so I feel like I heard everything. The kitchen and the bathrooms were disgusting. At one point, there was no toilet roll.

You DO get what you pay for but worth paying extra to stay somewhere nicer

convenient location and it was possible for me to park on a street nearby.

actual cleanliness of the property was disgusting, every surface in the room was sticky, stains everywhere, bathrooms hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, soap scum, mould, hairs everywhere. no toilet paper.

Very very disappointed. Bloody ridiculous bad smell. Even no towel no shampoo no nothing. A horrible building. This one shouldn’t be there to live. No fire exit no fire extinguishers. A very big health and safety concern.

The location is awful, industrial area, cars on bricks, the place is a converted industrial building in non-residential area. Every inch of the place is filthy. Pleasant Apartment??? We left and didn't return.

Nothing! It was appalling!

The room was dirty, it looked like an abandoned building we were walking into and we were given the wrong passcode to enter too! Bathroom smells like damp, stains on the walls and pubes in the bed!

Good price, but not really up to standard

Good location for Birmingham city centre. Good price for such a location. Very large room.

The price comes at a cost. The room had evidently had a smoker in, in the not too distant past. The sofa was stained and the blinds were broken. One of the electric sockets simply didn't work (with a broken switch), one of the lamps had a plug with a snapped earth pin, and there was no sign of any portable appliance testing certification stickers (which, among other things, would never pass a plug with only two pins left...). Some of these things need sorting out. Budget options are welcome and expectations should not be too high, but as it stands this room falls below a minimum standard.

Very rough, did not feel safe there at all!

Nothing, it is not a pleasant apartment, it’s a doss house for foreign workers.

Cold, dirty, someone else’s dirty laundry piled up all over the kitchen work tops, other guests glaring at us and having loud arguments outside our room that went on for over half an hour.

Great as a stop over, had all basic essentials, pleasent just pity my room was cold and damp.

It was early evening when I arrived so had the last room . It was very spacious with more beds. Side lights a table and sofa. Basic but everything you needed.

The main thing which was a pity was the radiator in my large room and been turned off. It could of been a while since it was last used. Unfortunately everything felt cold damp. The bedsheets pillows this wasn’t pleasant. I ended up sleeping on the sofa which seemed the least damp. I put the radiator back on but it wouldn’t of helped in the short time I was there. The area where the property is situated you need to be cautious but just common sense.
