Villa on the Rocks

This is one of those unique places to stay. You will always remember staying in this villa. The location is both a plus and a minus. You won't have any neighbors except for wildlife. You won't disturb anyone, and no one will disturb you. The interior and exterior are very pleasant, with lots of space, high ceilings, and great lighting (although some bulbs need to be replaced). There are stunning views from everywhere in the villa, even from the shower. There is a nice complimentary minibar. The air conditioners are quiet and modern. We stayed for a week and experienced no electricity problems. There were lots of towels, including beach towels. It was amazing to sit in the panoramic living room with cozy lighting during a nighttime thunderstorm. It's definitely not overpriced and completely worth it.

I believe the Wi-Fi is based on a mobile network. It was very poor and unstable, sometimes working and sometimes not at all. I had to clean the A/C filters in two rooms by myself. They were 99% clogged, and the A/C units were not functioning satisfactorily before cleaning. The hot water is provided by a gas boiler located in the lower bathroom. There is no exhaust pipe, so make sure your window is open; otherwise, it can be dangerous. The water pressure is low, and there is barely enough for the boiler to ignite when taking a shower on the second floor. It's impossible to take a shower in several bathrooms at the same time. I had to clean the showerhead and the mesh inside the upper bathroom. It was clogged and didn't seem to have been cleaned, even from the outside. The pool was dirty with green stuff when we arrived. The filters were only able to clean it by the next day. There is no way you can go anywhere on foot. Even if you have unlimited money for taxis, it takes time to wait for them, and they limit you a lot when staying here. Bikes are a must-have. We weren't planning to use bikes because not all of us had experience, but we only had to walk down to the main road once to change our mind. We rented three bikes, and it was great! As many have mentioned, there is a garbage dump nearby. It's visible from some angles and windows and sometimes you can smell it. It's not that bad, actually. It's not clear that only two of the three bedrooms have their own bathroom. These things are not really important though. It was a great stay!

The view was special And some of the local animals visited, this was nice We even anamed a lizard Borris The bathrooms were amazing as were the rooms. The host even provided transport to and from the pier.

The view of the dump was hard to miss at sunset. The pool needed A good clean, the water was clean but wife’s Biki was ruined with green scum from the pool tiles.

Die Unterkunft hat einen tollen Blick und ist optisch sehr schön. Jeden zweiten Tag wurde in der Unterkunft sauber gemacht.

Leider war der Weg zur Unterkunft sehr steil und schwierig. Nicht alle Taxi Fahrer und Ausflugsanbieter trauen sich den Weg zur Unterkunft zu. Das Taxi war deswegen sehr teuer, auch für kurze Strecken. In der Unterkunft hätten wir uns mehr Geschirr gewünscht. Im Außenbereich haben uns mehr Liegemöglichkeiten gefehlt, da nur zwei Liegen vorhanden waren. Leider war unsere Badebekleidung nach dem 3. Tag im Pool grün gefärbt.

La vue est absolument exceptionnelle, probablement la plus belle vue de l’ile. On en profite dans toutes les pièces (y compris la douche) du soir au matin. La piscine est très agréable, propre et rafraîchissante. La température est plus fraîche qu’en bas de l’île, ce qui est un luxe. Autre avantage non négligeable : pas de moustique ici! Win passe tous les deux jours pour ranger et faire le ménage. Mr Bear (taxi - indispensable pour une famille comme la nôtre) est aux petits soins pour les trajets entre la villa et le reste de l’île. L’environnement est très calme, ce qui est également très appréciable. Les chambres sont parfaitement climatisées.

Rien!! Tout était parfait. Il faut juste s’habituer à la puissance de la nature dans cet endroit unique : les petits lézards (gekkos) par exemple. Rien de gênant.
