Villa San Pietro

Luca is an amazing and very hospitable host, he even came and picked us up from the train upon our arrival. There was food for us in the fridge when we came to the Villa, such a nice start to our stay. We also got a cake delivered during the week. The place has a grand view. We enjoyed many hours at the balcony looking down over the village, sea, and boats. Very clean. Surprisingly comfortable beds. A kitchen perfect for cooking your own food. Coffee maker and delicious coffee available. There are two heat pumps that also can be used for air conditioning, one pump is in the smaller bedroom, and the other one in the kitchen close to the second larger bedroom. There are metal shutters on the windows and doors outside - which also helped to keep the place cool during hot summer days. It was too warm and sunny for us to make use of the hot spa in the garden. However, the outdoor shower was an amazing experience to cool down especially after walking up the many stairs from the beach. Down in the village in Portovenere we found restaurants and shops, took about 15 minutes to walk down the stairs. We didn’t use the bus but walked. Be prepared to walk many stars in this part of Italy. There are not many accommodations I would like to return to but this Villa is definitely on the list of places I would like to re visit.

A few more wine glasses and some sharper knives in the kitchen, and possibly some more toilet paper (we re stocked the toilet paper during our stay) would have been great. Some extra pillows would also be good to have.

Prima colazione fornita tramite una spesa di generi alimentari il primo giorno (che sarebbe durata per 3 gorni), si poteva fare qualcosa di più.

Andrebbe migliorata la tenuta del giardino e degli spazi esterni, era poco curata.
