Enjoyed our stay in Portovenere

Location was excellent, lovely views from our room, nice breakfast was provided. Portovenere is a lovely seaside village suitable for visiting the Cinque Terre. Can be busy during the day with visiting tourists from Cruise boats making their way to Cinque Terre, but when the crowds disperse at the end of the day it’s a beautiful spot with many lovely restaurants for dining out.

Would have been nice to have been able to get a tea or coffee/snack during the day if we were at the hotel. Bathroom was adequate but shower tiny which is the norm in Italy.

Stunning views, fab staff, just a nightmare to find parking

Parking is a NIGHTMARE. Whilst u can drop luggage off u need to find alternative parking for the night. We circled 5 times to find on street parking. We don’t mind paying but it was so hard to find a space in a very popular destination. The garage we were told we could park in was shut, which left us street parking and this was a fight or die situation lol. Once we found this we could park for free after 21:00. But I feel like we missed out time exploring as we didn’t get parked until 17:00. Breakfast wasn’t amazing, just average.

Room was adequate and no more. Bathroom dated and needing TLC Shortage of parking meant a bus ride from an expensive municipal car park.

Located next to the sea with absolutely wonderful views. The breakfast is outstanding The hotel is conveniently located for the bus station, port and town Staff are really helpful and friendly

Nice Hotel - ideally located - Poor Wifi

A great choice for breakfast foods and good to sit on the balcony overlooking the water.

Wifi - does not work in the room. Had to sit in the hall or go downstairs near reception to get any suitable wifi reception. The only disappointment of a great stay.

We spent an enjoyable family,grand parents with daughter, husband and four grand grandchildren.

Fabulous view, excellent location, great breakfast and nice friendly staff. Close to walk way along the beach. Close to restaurants and boats. We enjoyed our stay at the Belvedere.

Terrible from start to finish ….. give it a miss :(

Location and view from the lounge over breakfast

Paid a high price for a shocking experience. From a terrible check in where they seem more interested in bike and hiking groups, phone calls than people waiting, even when they had our passports. No apology. Room not ready at 2pm but groups got all their rooms. No priority for booking.com customers I think, so find somewhere else if you can. Must have online bookings at the bottom of the priority list and given worst rooms. Very small room and bathroom. High noise from corridors due to marble floor, so loud you would think people were in your room! Walls between rooms also seem very poor. We were allocated room 1 right on the very noisy road and over the main air conditioning units which went on and off all night which kept us awake. So we could not leave the window open but noise still terrible. Noise and no fresh air. Breakfast very average but with great views. Lift did not work when leaving. Very disappointing from beginning to end. Give it a miss :(

A sort of beautiful dream

The location is simply outstanding, with a wonderful view of the sea "golfo dei poeti". The breakfast is very good, with an wide choice of both salty and sweet food. The staff has solved one of my worse problem, i.e. to find a parking for my car! Thank you so much!! Last, but not least, the room was comfortable, clean and silent.

Quite expensive, and a bit noisy with the road nearby. But all probably normal as we stayed mid august during the peak season.

Beautiful room (overlooking the water) and delicious breakfast. The hotel was a bit sleepy and the rooms a bit dated, but we very much enjoyed our stay, and appreciated the assistance from the front desk in reserving a car to get to la Spezia for our train.

definitely not recommend

The location is good, but it was the only good thing at this hotel.

we had 3 rooms. in two of them bathroom smelled likes sewage. the water flow were very weak- it was hard to take a shower. even in the toilet the water flow was very weak. It was not possible to use the internet in the rooms. the breakfast was poorly and staff were unpleasant.

perfect location with wonderful views of portovenere

property is perfectly located close to the harbor and was walking distance from the ferry. I requested a room with a balcony and the hotel confirmed my request. the view was amazing. the room was quite small but functional. overall highly recommended.

Great base to explore the Cinque Terre.

Great location on the waterfront with spectacular views of the bay. Very good breakfast buffet. Kind and helpful staff. We were able to book parking directly in front of the hotel which was very convenient at a reasonable rate.
