Excellent location. Room must have been recently refurbished as could smell new carpet and paint. It was much better than I anticipated. Rooms are above the pub and I did wonder if might be rowdy but it wasn’t
The entrance hall could do with being spruced up but it was clean and felt safe and secure.

The staff was wonderful, always welcoming. The rooms were modern and cute. The beds were comfortable. Loved the hot tea setup in the room. I personally loved being above the bar on the main st. I loved opening the window and listening to the live music and the people having a good time. But that’s not for everyone.
The bathroom was so very small. Nothing they can change of course but just a warning to others. You had to pile all of your clothes and shower stuff in the sink and open and close the shower door to grab them as you needed them. My face was practically against the wall while washing and rinsing. Unfortunately the room smelled like cat pee. I don’t know why. We were able to pin point it to a specific area on the carpet. The room was so small it smelled up the whole room day and night. I didn’t say anything to them until the second night hoping with the window open it would air out but it didn’t. I don’t think they did anything about it because it continued to smell. Other than that the room and bathroom were very clean.
