It was a horrible experience

I did not even get to see my room as they lost my key and during the meantime we found an alternative accomodation

They said they did not find my key, to then (after 30 to 40 minutes) say that they found our key but still need to prepared the room. When I asked a refund and to cancel my booking due to that, they person at the reception was very rude and just told me “just go if you want but I am not giving you your money back”. I should mention I was travelling with my pregnant wife and my 4 year old. I overheard many other things on the telephone that they spoke to each other while trying to find the key and it prompted me even more to find a new accomodation. The house was not well managed and it did not give the hospitality it promised. Also they did not precise before hand that the kitchen was closed and there will be no breakfast.

“There was an African wedding party going on, and the children were running and racing through the hallways and even opened the door to our bedroom at 11 p.m.… and we were sleeping on the second floor. During breakfast, there was no staff to be seen, and we had (no other choice) to sit at a table that had been left dirty and uncleared… not nice!”

Fantastic restaurant , food and service excellent. The new room was nice, helpful staff.

First room given was not acceptable , 2nd room ok. New one was a redone . All very noisy . Curtains 1/2 of the rail. Light not working . Could not get the TV remote working properly.

Historic - beautiful - tranquil and superb value for money - visit it.

This property is just a splendid find; one of those rare jewels which you seldom expect to discover when tucked away in the heart of a village. This family run hotel is a shining example of how wonderful historic buildings can be brought back to life. The staff went the extra mile for me and sought to prepare breakfast at the last minute although I hadn’t booked breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble.

That there were not more people there to truly experience this wondrous, joyous abc beautiful pearl - a mere stone’s throw from Brussels.

a beautiful castle but don't come back again

the gorgeous scenery, the warm and welcoming staff, the pleasant music inside

It was very cold in the room, there were only 2 very small towels, the TV didn't even have normal TV channels, not to mention YouTube, the windows were blocked, you couldn't ventilate the room. I paid for a room as a double bed, and I received a bed consisting of two single beds, and at night the mattresses would slide and a large space would be created and if you weren't careful you could fall out of bed... not to mention that the mattresses were not comfortable at all, and we each had our own blanket, in the idea that we paid for a double bed, we stayed 2 nights but we couldn't rest at all and I went to bed and got cold because of the cold in the room, because the radiator in the room almost didn't work at all

I had to stay at the reception for 1 hr15 mins nobody was there. They don’t show concern to client. It was very poor

No warm coming not reliable at all. The property is good , location good but welcome to poor. Have been traveling but never seen such a thing in my life. I went out came back in the night hotel doors where lock had to stay out for some hours luckily one man was coming out of the hotel he met me outside and had to open the hotel door for me and he complain to me how he had to stay one hr for checking n nobody was there.

HONESTLY WORSE THAN SHARING ROOM. CAN'T SPEAK either French or English.

Good location and packing, but I hate almost every minute about my stay in that hotel and where to start, worse than any other hotels that I have visited. Staff can't speak either French or English properly. The main language in that is Romania, that manager is very rude . The reception is always with no receptionist, and imagine using your phone all the time to call the Managers to send someone when you are at the reception.

The room is tiny and no clean at all, and it looks from the outside but completely messes inside Honestly, without being nasty, that is worse than any other hotel that I have visited. Staff can't speak either French or English properly. The main language in that is Romania, that manager is very rude . No breakfast as they changed around £15 per person for breakfast, which i decided, and i can't complain about it as its mentioned in the booking, but the room so unclean and tidy. Staff opened my door without knowing at 9 am. while I was still in bed sleep. I asked why they didn't knock at the door, and they just smiled and say sorry which was fair enough."" That room should be no more than £40 or 45 euros, including breakfast.i hate saying negative about someone's business, but this hotel is my bad one and never again. I would rather sleep in my car than visit that hotel again. I. Fact I have left Sunday to stay in calais port rather than staying there. I paid for 3 nights and stayed only one night there . Without being nasty, why can they pay staff to stay at the reception at least during the day. No where to get help when needed.

Death by a 1000 paper cuts.

The air conditioning was not working, and if you open the windows we got eaten by mosquitoes. They brought us a little swamp cooler but just for one room. The TVs did not work, they were missing equipment, again they fixed one but not the other. The Wi-Fi only worked in the hallway so as soon as the door closed the signal went away. The sign in the room said one thing about the wi-fi but we had to track down an employee to find out that the sign was wrong, and we needed another password for the wi-fi. There was no one there to check us in at 4:00 we found someone after 10 minutes but she knew very little but gave us the room key and towels.

C’est un bel endroit, mais assez cher. L’emplacement reste correct.

L’intérieur était beau, propre et confortable. Il y a des transports en commun à proximité, ce qui est pratique.

Le rapport qualité-prix est élevé par rapport à la prestation. Nous avons été facturés 25 € supplémentaires pour une arrivée en dehors des horaires indiqués, alors que nous ne sommes pas du pays. C’est quand même excessif, d’autant plus que cela n’était pas mentionné ; j’ai dû appeler pour obtenir cette information. Les suppléments sont très chers. Dommage également qu’il n’y ait pas de micro-ondes.

Grootte van de kamer. Afwerking was teleurstellend, er zat wat sleet op deze keet. Had een 2p Deluxekamer geboekt. Als dit de Deluxeversie was, dan vrees ik dat de gewone kamers een bezemkast zijn. Meereizende vrienden hadden dan weer een kamer die boven de verwachtingen uitsteeg.

De tweede kamer was wel goed.Slechte bedden wat betreft matrassen. Bij de receptie nlemand die onze taal sprak.No frans, no Nederlands.

Eerst kregen we een sleutel mee van een kamer waar GEEN bed stond. De tweede kamer viel mee. Het ontbijt was schandalig.Er lag een gropje roerei dat precies al 2 keer gegeten was. GEEN bediening.Je moest alles maar uitzoeken

La chambre était extrêmement sale. Les joints de la baignoire moisis et noirs. La baignoire était sale avec des poils. Je me suis brûlé en touchant un interrupteur dans la salle de bains qui n’est clairement pas Aux normes. Je ne recommande absolument pas.

De kamers. Ik had eerst kamer 19. Een zeer kleine kamer waar ik het benauwd kreeg. Ik kreeg toen een grotere kamer en ik moeste € 50,00 bijbetalen. Er was geen ontbijt en geen personeel toen wij wilden uitchecken. Wij zijn vertrokken.

Lugar muito bonito, charmoso, no meio de uma cidade muito bonita com restaurantes ótimos. Para quem quer ter a experiência de se hospedar num castelo vale a pena. Tem frigobar e ar condicionado o que é bom. Cama muito confortável.

Quarto relativamente pequeno, televisão não funcionava, chamamos um funcionário ele olhou disse que não funcionava mesmo e ficou por isso mesmo.

Het prachtige domein, een top restaurant in de mooi onderhouden tuin van het kasteel. Goede prijs. Ruime privé parking. Koffie op de kamer, aantrekkelijk authentiek interieur. Ze verdienen zeker een betere score !

In de reviews lazen we dat er ‘s nachts vaak feestjes doorgaan onder in de feestzaal van het hotel. Helaas was dat tijdens onze overnachting ook het geval, maar met oordoppen hebben wij daar geen last van gehad, en het volume was zeker nog binnen de perken. Tijdens het inchecken hebben we lang moeten wachten vooraleer we werden geholpen.

mooi kasteeldomein, mooie setting, grote kamer met bad en douche. ook airco op de kamer.

Er was de dag na ons verblijf geen ontbijt. Dan maar ontbijt gezocht in een ander hotel. Ook voor het uitchecken was er niemand beschikbaar. De bedden sliepen echt niet goed.

Fuyez !!!!! Publicité mensongère !!!!! Aucun petit déjeuner à la carte, il faut selon la réceptionniste un minimum de personnes qui dorment sur place pour prétendre au service du petit déjeuner ! Même si j’ai montré la publication sur booking de l’hôtel et il est écrit petit déjeuner disponible ! Ensuite la chambre qui pue la cigarette froide ! J’ai du dormir la fenêtre ouverte pour essayer de dormir avec un minimum de confort ! Et le meilleur au réveil je souhaite prendre une douche et aucune arrivée d’eau à la douche ! Elle est coupée !!! C’est honteux ! Les récipients de shampoing et savon sont vides je comprends pourquoi ! Les prises électriques sur la table dans la chambre ne fonctionne pas aussi ! La télé est pour être un cadre elle n’est pas fonctionnelle aussi ! C’est honteux ! Et la réceptionniste je n’ai jamais vu ce genre de comportement ! Elle m’a directement tutoyé ! J’étais assez abasourdie ! Et elle demande de payer la taxe et sous prétexte qu’elle n’a pas de monnaie elle m’a rendu moins que ce qu’elle devait me rendre ! J’ai dû réclamer la différence ! Je lui ai dis c’est une publicité mensongère je vais signaler au site de booking, « ok c’est pas grave » a été sa réponse ! Le matin quand je me suis plainte de la douche non fonctionnelle le monsieur qui a répondu à l’appel m’a dit je ne peux rien faire et m’a raccroché au nez ! Mais lorsque je suis descendue il n’y a plus personne à la réception, l’agent d’entretien n’était même pas capable de m’appeler la personne en question. ! C’est du bad de gamme ! Horrible expérience et dernière surtout dans cet hôtel ! Je n’ai jamais eu ce genre d’expériences avant et dorénavant j’appellerai l’hôtel pour confirmer si le standing mis sur booking est le même physiquement ! Mais le tutoiement j’étais choquée ! It’s a joke ! Cela donne l’impression qu’ils souhaitent juste ramasser de l’argent sans se donner les moyens !!!
