The most perfect Umbrian base

Casa Mafalda is without doubt the best self-catering apartment I have ever stayed in. Rita was an exceptional host. During our 12-night stay she made sure we were always stocked for breakfast with eggs, bread, pastries, yoghurts, tea, coffee, jam, Nutella and milk. She even offered to change our linen halfway through the stay and offered to take out our rubbish and recycling. She also suggested a local wine tasting and personally drove us to and from a vineyard and cantina in Montefalco so that we could enjoy the experience. She is so proud of the beautiful area she lives in and genuinely wants her guests to experience its magic. We certainly felt it. During our two weeks we enjoyed day trips to Perugia, Assisi, Foligno, Trevi and the Marmore waterfalls, as well as local highlights such as the Spoleto Rocca, a hike on the Giro dei Condotti and a walk along the disused Spoleto–Umbria railway line. Casa Mafalda is beautifully decorated, spotless, well equipped and perfectly located. It is only a five-minute walk from the station in one direction and a ten-minute walk from the old part of Spoleto in the other. It is a fantastic base for exploring Umbria and beyond. If we had stayed even longer we would have made more use of the Ancona train line to explore parts of the Marche and the Roma Termini line to see more of Lazio. Spoleto is wonderfully well connected and full of interest both in its own right and throughout the surrounding region.

Everything was perfect apart from the kitchen tap which sprayed all over the place!

Lovely stay with welcoming host

The beds were comfy, the apartment was spacious and well equipped. The host was really helpful and very kind to have provided a wonderful array of snacks, yoghurt and breakfast items. This was an exceptionally kind gesture. Thank you so much, Rita. We loved Dimora Pertusa!

Relaxing and calm stay in the Historical spot!

The entry & leaving the flat was very well-organized on the part of the Host. The Kitchen and dining area were very big and comfortable, sorting of rubish was very easy . The neighbourhood was very quiet although it is in the Center of Spoleto.

Highly recommended property

Rita was extremely kind, helpful and generous. Communication was very quick and easy. The property was comfortable and quiet. Rita asked us beforehand if there was anything special we wanted for breakfast and provided it. There was an imminent train strike potentially affecting our return to the airport and Rita researched the issue and possible solutions on our behalf, because we felt overwhelmed. The apartment is in a good position, close to the station, and there are a number of food shops within easy walking distance. We walked into the historic centre, although it was a bit steep, and also enjoyed using the escalator system to save our leg muscles!

It was all good and the apartment and the hostess both deserve the high rating we've given.

PERFETTA

La casa è calda, accogliente e comprende ogni confort anzi va oltre quanto ti aspetti! Due ante intere della cucina erano stracolme di ogni cosa da mangiare dai biscotti ai mottini di ogni specie, Nutella monouso, confettura di ogni tipo, fette biscottate, yogurt e latte oltre a cialde per caffè , ginseng, tè....insomma nulla mancava! I letti confortevoli con cuscini in abbondanza, nelle camere da letto TV , e nel salone una smart da 50 pollici! Insomma Rita è una host perfetta! Premurosa che tutto fosse di ns gradimento si è offerta di accompagnarci al centro che dista pochissimo ma essendo centro storico vi erano ZTL. Non abbiamo mai abusato della sua disponibilità anche perché i parcheggi a ridosso dei tappeti scorrevoli erano davvero ad un minuto di auto. Abbiamo apprezzato la possibilità di parcheggiare la macchina con facilità lungo la strada fuori la casa consentendo di portare in casa i bagagli agevolmente.

Come state a casa

Appartamento nuovo, pulito ed accogliente. Ci sono tutte le comodità, non manca nulla. La cucina è super attrezzata, c'è tutto in abbondanza per la colazione. Riscaldata benissimo (noi siamo stati in inverno), tutto per l'igiene, teli in abbondanza, cuscini e coperte in piu. Insomma mai vista una casa vacanza così organizzata e pulita. Rita è estremamente gentile, garbata e disponibile.

Rita is een erg hartelijke gastvrouw en onze buren hebben ons verwend met huisgemaakt lekkers.

De accommodatie was zeer compleet ingericht en overvloedig voorzien van ontbijtspullen

Het toilet op de woonverdieping is wel heel erg krap bemeten.

Appartamento su due livelli, nuovo, super accessoriato, posizione comoda, in un minuto si arriva al posteggio con accesso alle scale mobili per raggiungere il centro di Spoleto. La signora Rita ed il marito cordiali e disponibili.

Logement agréable et bien équipé, malgré l’absence d’une salle de bains.

Le logement est un peu excentré , mais c’est clairement indiqué dans le descriptif. Par contre , il est indiqué dans le descriptif qu’il y a 2 salles des bains alors qu’il y a en réalité une salle de bains et un cabinet de toilette ( WC + lavabo). , ce qui est très différent , surtout quand on est 4.

Come a casa

Ci siamo recati a Spoleto per la gara italiana del nostro doberman.La casa è molto accogliente, pulitissima in ogni ambiente e angolo, dotata di ogni comfort e profumata, e avendo una bimba piccola era proprio quello che cercavamo! La colazione è molto ricca, caffè orzo ginseng,latte, brioches, buondì, Pangoccioli, Nutella, marmellate, jogurt e tante altre cose, che abbiamo gradito molto. Una cosa che ci ha fatto piacerissimo, è stato l'angolo dedicato al nostro cane, perché qui gli animali non solo sono ammessi, ma sono ben accetti! Abbiamo trovato un cuscinone bello pulito e la zona ciotola con acqua fresca. La casa si trova in una posizione ottima, vicina al centro ma non in mezzo al caos. Torneremo sicuramente il prossimo anno! Grazie di tutto. Ciao da Viareggio

Posizione della struttura in una località periferica ma comunque vicina a piedi al centro storico di Spoleto. Pulizia impeccabile dell'appartamento e completezza degli accessori all'interno. Zona tranquilla in cui trovare parcheggio anche nelle ore più tarde senza problema. Disponiblità della signora Rita.

Appartamento pulito e accogliente. Personale gentile e premuroso.

Il secondo bagno era piccolo, poco utile per lavarsi. Comunque se si è tra amici o in famiglia non c'è nessun problema, si usa per quello che è stato pensato bagno di servizio, e si condivide l'altro ben attrezzato.

Siamo stati accolti in modo davvero caloroso, con una gentilezza e una disponibilità che hanno reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Il posto è curatissimo: tutto è estremamente ordinato, pulito e ben sistemato, si percepisce l’attenzione ai dettagli e la passione di chi lo gestisce. Un ambiente accogliente, rilassante e perfetto per sentirsi subito a casa. Lo consigliamo senza esitazioni e torneremo sicuramente!

Esperienza positiva

la struttura è spaziosa e pulitissima. Gli host molto accoglienti (anche lei una biker) ci hanno fatto parcheggiare la moto nel garage e resi disponibili per altre situazioni. Il centro è vicino...una passeggiata a piedi.
