Good location to explore Fulford, easy to get to from the main ring road. About 20 minutes walk into York, we saw plenty of buses if walking isn’t suitable. The property is attractive, with some original features which are appropriate for the area. Our room was large & comfortable, with a modern, clean bathroom.
Having to ring for a door code felt strange, a relied on us owning a mobile phone. Having said that everything worked well, it just caused a little anxiety before we arrived. Some of the furniture could do with updating, but ok considering the price

Location handy for two local pubs and also for two cafe's offering breakfast within 10 minutes walking distance. Car park close by at the back, but cant fit too many cars.
We found the ground floor room (located at the front of the building) rather dark. The curtains were drawn on arrival, and were very difficult top open, we almost gave up trying. The beds with very high head boards backed into the bay window and took even more light from the room. If the furniture in the room had been placed differently I think it would have felt more welcoming and pleasant.
