Property should be condemned!! Unsafe

The central location....however, it was located next to a fish and chip shop so the smell of cooking oil and fish was constant.

The apartment is in desperate need of attention. Very shabby and felt unclean. The main issue we had was that not one of the windows over the 3 floors would open, sealed shut which is a massive breach of fire regulations. It was very warm while we were there but the low standard fans provided only blew warm air around. The beds were uncomfortable and didn't feel clean. I removed the top pillow and found a dead bug! When I booked this apartment,the facilities state that there are 2 bathrooms, this false advertisement, there was a shower room on 1st floor and a poky toilet was found on the 3rd floor. The stairs were uneven and felt unsafe, and the bannister has seen better days. When you switched the light on to go up the stairs, it only lasted 20 seconds, even Usain Bolt would've struggled to reach the top floor in that time!! The oven looked so old we were scared to go near it, belongs in a museum... There were holes in the floor,covered over, another health hazard!! When we charged phones it felt like they could burst into flames they were that hot. We felt unsafe and claustrophobic in this property, so much so, we had to check into the Maldron Hotel to enjoy what was left of our weekend away. I will be writing to Booking.com officially about this disappointing experience...I have been booking with you for years and have never had such a massive let down. I would appreciate your comments on this review.

Stay with 7 friends

We stayed in the most central apartment in Newcastle with seven people. It was very clean, and we had an excellent stay. We would book with Pass The Property again and again—great customer service! There was only one key, but that wasn’t a problem because, after opening the door, it could be placed back in the key box. This way, friends could still enter the apartment later. The directions provided on Booking led us to a different intersection. However, we received immediate assistance over the phone and were assured that the directions would be updated right away. So, no problem at all.

Disgusting

Nothing was a disaster from start to finish .. making up lies to steal deposit to .. this is a catfish apartment and scam

Everything from the moment I walked in the stench was disgusting .. fish and chips and grease and mould .. shower mouldy paint work a mess holes in walls filled marks everywhere . Light switch that lasted 30 seconds and turned off not safe for my 81 year old grandad .. spider webs everywhere .. looks nothing like pictures . Blinds broken no privacy .. lasted 1 hour there and booked a new hotel and stayed there. The hotel even knew of the apartment as apparently they’ve had guests leave before and check in here as it’s round the corner .. no heating only electric heaters which is a fire hazard was freezing dirty windows etc ; DONT STAY HERE. CATFISH SCAMMERS! Staff were rude on the phone didn’t seem to care didn’t cancel booking told me they were taking 300 deposit because I still had keys even though the property was still technically mine due to not cancelling ..

Disaster from start to finish.

Location

Mould in the bathroom. Stains on the carpets. Central heating doesnt work without a massive stench of burning. Faulty handrails and constant stench of mould. Then to top it of they have made up fake damages to steal the deposit. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Ein charaktervolles Appartement in einer tollen Stadt

Die Lage war super, ganz nah am Bahnhof und in der Innenstadt. Supermärkte, Pubs, Geschäfte, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel - man musste nur vor die Haustür treten! Die Gastgeber waren sehr großzügig mit den alltäglichen Notwendigkeiten wie Klopapier, Seife, Gewürze etc. Die Küche hatte alle notwendigen Utensilien. Die Dusche war sehr gut. Es gibt zwei Toiletten, wobei die eine im dritten Stock oben ist. Die Schlafzimmer sind alle vier sehr hübsch. Die Heizanlage lief problemlos. Die Mitarbeiter waren immer bis spät in die Nacht erreichbar, falls es mal ein Problem gab, und sehr hilfsbereit - Kommunikation top!

Das Appartment besteht aus mehreren Etagen mit vielen steilen Treppen - nicht unbedingt für ältere Leute geeignet. Leider kann man kein einziges Fenster im Appartement öffnen, doch dank der Deckenhöhe (ca 4 m) ist das erträglich. Die Tagesdecken, Zierkissen und der Teppichboden könnten mal wieder etwas mehr Pflege gebrauchen, ansonsten waren alle Betten und Handtücher sehr sauber.
